Great whiskey selection. They had a couple bottles of whiskey I have been looking for but being from out of town, there was no way I could buy and get home or drink in 4 days. I settled on a pre-made old fashioned in a can that was recommended by an employee. tried to order a 1/2 keg was told it would take two weeks called and found out it wasn't available two weeks later but no one ever called. got another one ordered and when I asked for compensation for false information and longer wait time the manager Mario was very rude and not willing to listen to the customer. was super aggressive and rude. I will not be picking up the keg since he doesn't value customer service or being honest to the customer. I am not looking for something free but help for all the inconvenience and trouble. read more

More like Total Disappointment & More, especially when claiming "low" prices. They were selling 15-packs of Blue Moon cans for $15.99 which was already high compared to a few years ago when they were as low as $11.99 ($10.99 on sale). Now, the 15-packs have been discontinued and in their place are 12-packs for a buck more! $16.99! So not only do you get 3 less beers, you pay a buck more for what's left! Not their fault for discontinuing the old package, but they do set prices and this stuff is overpriced! Gee, I wonder why. read more

I am new to this kind of store. I am not much of a drinker so that explains it. However I was in the area looking for Torani Syrups and was told they sold some here. Unfortunately when I arrived the selection was basically nothing besides two flavors. I wandered around a bit looking at the massive selection of wine. I chose a few white wines I like for Thanksgiving. I also picked up some beer for my husband. Prices were really fair. I couldn't believe the amount of options I'd never seen or heard of before. They also had a small amount of snacks like nuts, cheese balls and pretzels, think bar food. The store was very clean and service good. My cashier was friendly and made sure to check my id. I like to still feel young ha ha ha. Anyway, great stop. read more

This store is the best. Even better outside of CA. I personally think other states do craft beer better. Phoenix location had the Suns NBA branded beer and as an avid laker fan I was confused why we don't have one. A must visit for any craft beer lover. read more

My wife and I are in Total Wine at least once a week so we are very loyal customers. We just moved to Arizona from Missouri so we needed to find a new Total Wine to shop at. We stopped at this location around 6 pm on a Saturday. The store had customers but not super busy. The shelf was empty of the product we wanted so I went searching for an employee to help us find a bottle. The employee I found seemed very put off that he had to stop what he was doing to help us. At the same time my wife found a different employee who said he was pulling a priority order and he couldn't help but he radioed for someone to help us. The first guy showed up in our aisle and finally found our product. He was dismissive as he handed us the bottle. When we got to the register the cashier was less than engaged as well. Hopefully they were having an off night. We hope our next experience here goes a little smoother. read more

Total Wine has a number of gift items that are perfect for for friends and family who like to play host/ bartender. They even have gift bags to put said gifts in. Normally I love coming here. The prices are great and there's a wide selection. Today I had a really terrible experience. One of the associates walked up to offer help picking a sparkling wine. He assumed I was making mimosas and didn't ask about my wine preferences at all. When I explained I was looking for specific wines from a wishlist I've created from different sources he said "I've tasted this before and that's better than the internet". He didn't offer similar alternatives or brands. And he stormed off! I understand trying to sell certain wines but I've never been treated with such a condescending attitude. I left quite upset. Needless to say, if you are in the market for beer, liquor or wine, this is the place to head for. If you are a wine person, this may be close to heaven. Whether you know your grapes or are looking for some knowledgeable suggestions as to what to serve for either your regular dinner or for the dinner party you are hosting for a group of friends, you will find what you need at Total Wine. They also have "specials" which are notable wines that are as much as 50% off the regular retail price. Look for these through their on-line sight to see if they are available at a location near your. The staff at the store will take their time and assist you should you have questions as to where a certain wine is, if it will go with the meal you are planning, as suggestion as to something to try or just a general, overall question about wine. The only thing that may be a bit difficult is finding one of them as there are not enough of them to go around and they always seem to be with someone. After dinner we decided to stop here and see what new items we could find. We consider ourselves to be both wine connoisseurs as well as craft beer aficionados! When it comes to the " sauce", the "booze", the "spirits", it's basically a free for all type situation. Sort of like the silly phrase, "I eat SEEFOOD, I see food and I eat it". Ok that was corny, but you get my drift, right, sort of?? LoL On the weekends and on special "launching " occasions, they have wine tasting in the back and it's always a fun time. The young lady at the bar this Saturday afternoon was very nice, very friendly and was actually able to carry a conversation about the wines and origins and flavors. Which I'm always happy to discuss. :) We tried a few and decided to buy one from the tasting sale. I'm all for sales!! We looked all around and my hubby found a new craft beer he hadn't tried before. Along with one of his faves. The staff always goes above and beyond to help us whenever we've had a question or need to find a specific item we just have to try. When I walked into the store, I was amazed at the selection of wines that they have. However, since I was the for Imported Beer, I continued down the main aisle. When I turned the corner, I thought I had died, and gone to Beer Heaven. ;-) At first, I couldn't find the 3 types of beer (Sol, Tsingtao and Singha) that I was after. So, I settled for a 12 pack of Sol. After muttering out loud how that sucks, and no store help anywhere in view, a customer told me that there is another partial display of beer (many thanks to that guy). Well, I did find the 6 pack bottles of Sol and Tsingtao. 8-) But, I was unable to find Singha. :-( So, I decided to give Chang beer (last 6 pack on the shelf at 11:45 in the morning) a try. Upon checking out, I asked if they carried Singha. And, the answer, was an abrupt no. Whatever happened to courtesy? Sorry we don't carry that. Then when she asked me for my phone number, and I said it was my first time there, she said, cool. But, did not ask me for my number to input into the system. So, between no customer service, last 6 pack on the shelf, not carrying the Singha, and mediocre c/s at checkout, I can't give it a better score than 3. I'd like to try the wine tasting sometime. Since, I came here for speciality beer, I won't be here too often. But, it's nice to know that it's available. read more

Before I went in, I called the store asking if they had empty boxes to spare because I'm moving. The man on the phone was extremely polite and reassured me that I would be able to get some boxes. However, when I did go in, the first employee I saw looked like the manager so I approached him asking about the boxes. Right off the bat, he seemed very standoffish and rudely said "because it's a holiday weekend and you're not buying anything, we cant give you more than three." That's fine, and he directed towards the cashiers. I was next in line, and the cashier didn't greet me, but just stared at me like I had no business being there. I asked her if I could get some boxes and she smiled at me like I was stupid and just responded with yes. She didn't direct me towards the boxes or explain their protocol, so I just kept asking her, "do I get them here? do I get them myself." I was made to feel incredibly uncomfortable and incompetent. I would suggest that if an anyone is coming into your place of work, then you're doing everything in your power to be kind and helpful. I didn't get that impression from the employees I interacted with, unfortunately. read more

The building may not be as expansive as other locations, but staff certainly utilizes what little they have effectively. It's highly navigable, and there are some steals to be had on lesser known wines. We're talking BIG bottles for little prices. Of course, when I fancied myself a nice port for an upcoming dinner party, staff was eager to help. The gentleman's name was Scott, if I recall correctly, and he spent time going over many choices with me. There were tons and tons of VERY pricey selections to be had, but since I'm a newbie, he sold me on the Montonico, which all my friends loved. Customer service like his can't be beat. I wasn't counting or anything, but I felt as though this place has more wines than other locations, but as a result, fewer beers. The liquor setup was grand, as well. Especially the little room dedicated to mostly gift sets. I have lots of friends who like to collect cups from various brands, so I'll be back to spend significant dough on these. Groovy. I'm beginning to notice each Total Wine location can be quite distinct with their strengths and weaknesses. I disliked the lack of beer import selections here (maybe I'm looking in the wrong place?) but it is still very much worth the trip. read more

The pricing is inconsistent. The price of a 1 liter of Crown Royal is $40.99 and the price of a 1.75 liter is $40.99. The same price. I didn't catch this till after I bought the 1 liter. That random liquor you tried that one time that you can't remember the name of? Oh, THEY'VE GOT IT. They also have a plethora of gifts for parties, so it's literally a one stop shop. The staff are so incredible with their extensive knowledge of all the product and they can always give a recommendation. They also have kegs of craft beers, which I feel is hard to come by. They cancelled several because they did not have ANY in stock ..ok no problem. So I pick up the 25 bottles..get home only to find out that 40% of the bottles r the wrong vintage!! Over the past several months i have seen a steady increase of abuse these cashiers take from their customers. I have also noticed that, this company allows their customers to Abuse the employees for sales & profit. In this company if you are a Man or a Woman without an opinion you will go far, if you are a woman who stands her ground and voices, you will be pushed down.
