I absolutely love coming into this store!!! The staff is so upbeat and eager to help! Which makes the customers act just as friendly. It's not about the alcohol, the vibe in this store is VERY "enthusiastic" which is quite different from other well known stores, for example. They may seem the same since they all sell alcohol but it's like an inconvenience to ask for help at other places. I don't think I have ever seen a TW&M employee without a smile! This location is way out of the way for me, so I have only come for a couple of their classes. Recently for their Tour of Italy wine class. I love their classes. They have a private room in the back, it is a two hour class where samples and snacks are provided. It is always a good time. The layout at this location is a bit different than some of the others, but I thought it worked for the space. The classroom seemed bigger and it was nice to spread out a bit. read more

My wife and I have been shopping at this location for many years, and we have bought a lot of wine here. Today I had a very negative customer service experience with the manager. She was completely dismissive and unhelpful. We will take our business elsewhere. I tried calling the customer service number to express my disappointment, but I was placed on hold endlessly. Do not ever waste your time calling the customer service number. If this location cared at all about their customers, they would have engaged with me directly. This is a huge store, and it's not even their largest one. Warehouse size store with somewhat discount prices. I frequent the place for craft beers as well as whiskeys. Today was a whiskey day. They have 2 aisles of whiskey, from local bourbons to Scottish and other foreign brands. The prices on them tend to be a bit less expensive than the smaller stores are. However, the one thing that keeps them from being a great 5 star is the lack of stock on the popular yet pricier whiskeys. The mainstream daily drinkers they always have in stock. If you want a Blanton's, Buffalo Trace, or even the simpler Weller's brand, the rarely if ever have them in stock. They save these for the "club" that they have to request liquors, but seem to only be able to get them if you spend a lot of cash there. I however, have found small mom and pop stores that does carry these on a frequent basis, so to those stores is where I go when I run low on the really good stuff. The craft beer section is a big one. They have an entire aisle just for Texas brands. Other areas, they have a lot of wine that has a wine tasting and class area. There is also a humidor and food shelves. I do like the store very much and will continue to go for trying new brands for less money. read more

I come here every now and again to do tastings this is one of my favorite stores. During the holidays this is like the party before the party there is so many samplers all over the store giving out wine whiskey champagne you name it they got it! An absolute blast during this time of the year. The store staff is really friendly and outgoing they have everything you can think of as far as alcohol. CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! Went in this morning and bought a large order of items. When I got to the car, I noticed one item specifically on my receipt was not the price I saw in the store. I went back and confirmed the prices were not matching with a sales associate. I met with the manager who was very blasé about the whole thing, but agreed to fix it. Look, the total difference was $3, but at that point I don't trust them because they've already attempted to charge me more on one item. Now I'm faced with an awful decision, I spend more of my TIME walking around the store and making sure each item was priced correctly or I just cut my losses and leave (which I did). The "manager" could not have cared less about my options. What she should have done was apologized and said, "You go home, I am going to personally check each item on your receipt to make sure it's right. Then I'm going to give you a (insert nominal amount) credit for your next visit for the inconvenience." But no, she would rather act like it's no big deal and lose a customer for life. The moral of the story is to check your receipt if you decide to shop here, because you can't assume accuracy. read more

I have a local Total wine that I buy all my liquor from and they have great service. I wanted to buy a bottle on the phone and pay for it for a friend in FW. A guy by the name of Shane answered the phone who informed me that i had to order and pay online and he could not do it on the phone. I accepted that but asked him to check availability. He put my on hold for about 5 minutes to pick the phone back up not remembering that he had put me on hold and asked how he could help me. When i said i was on hold waiting for him to come back he said "oh". So i am going to reach out to a store that wants to take money. We put in an order on Saturday then picked it up on Wednesday, they loaded everything for us. Of course we overbought in order to avoid not having enough. This place reminds me of Specs in Houston except there's more wine. Everytime I come here I'm surprised at the variety of items here. You've got your wine of course but you also have your scotch, bourbon, tequila, vodka. Make your 6 pack of craft beer. You name it, they've got it. You want a only a pint? There's a whole back shelf with pints and small bottles. Not hidden behind the register where you can't see (looking at you Specs) You want the big girl tequila bottle? They have that too. I have been for about 3 of their wine and beer tasting classes. Awesome! If you get the opportunity to attend one of their classes, definitely worth the 10-20 bucks. Very informative and always great snacks to go along with it. Did I mention they have an actual classroom in the back? Set up like a kind of bar for their classes. I'm confused about all the negative reviews. Since the pandemic began, Total Wine has used a curbside approach for pick up for those that want to avoid the crowds. The service is quick - in and out and done. They ask where you want your order and place it in that location without a hitch. Not only is it safe for the customer, it cuts down on waiting in line and having to search for what you want in the store. No asking where things are - they will be in your car when you get there. I'm a member and just changed this to my preferred location, because I just moved here. When I walked in I already knew what I was looking for. After the manager, who was restocking bottles, saw my preferred selection he asked if I was finding everything alright and offered assistance if I needed it later. Eventually I asked for a recommendation on an Cab and a vodka, which turned out to be well liked by the company I was providing it for later that evening. Aside from the selection, the customer service was up to par with my previous location (which set the standard for me). It was also a cleanly location with large selections of pretty much everything. I have recommended the establishment (brand) to friends and family for years, and any time I have company I can always find something new here. An employee at this location gave the wrong order to our door dash driver. Due to some insane policy, they were not allowed to send a new order and simply canceled ours. We were getting ready to leave for a Halloween/ Birthday party, so needless to say I was not happy. I called the store and they said I could place a new order and pick it up. I asked for a manager. I spoke to Rose and she said she would call me right back. I told my wife (and I quote) "I am so sick of bad customer service and store management, in my days of retail I would have just grabbed the order and delivered it myself!" I had an extremely negative experience on 03.21.2019 @15:00 due to salesperson Michelle. The cashier was friendly and stock-person polite, but that was the extent. I approached Michelle and two others in uniform standing on the sales floor chatting with each other with a question about a new rum. I was directed first by Michelle to another saleswoman who replied that she was on her lunch and would not help me. I then asked Michelle again who gave me a curt reply then told me verbatim "Done with conversation" and walked away without another word. The male with these two women looked apologetic but said nothing. Despite my experience I purchased the bottle and left without a word, but I will not be shopping here again. Off duty and out of uniform aside, I should have been given the same minimal respect as any other customer. They have a great selection and the store is huge but my experience there was an uncomfortable one. I noticed quite a few of the managers following me around and they would only approach me once i made eye contact and continued to stare at them because i felt them following me around. I was throwing a party this weekend so i was looking through options whilst also trying to find specific items so i was pacing through all the aisles. They did not approach anyone else around me, (even though there were quite a few older men looking around). There was even a woman asking everyone if they'd like a wine sample but as i came near she became quite and looked away. I am 24 years old, so i don't know if they were assuming a young age but i will not be returning to this store. It's great if you're white or look over 30 though ! read more

Can you say kid in a candy store? Ok maybe a wino in a liquor store. Although this is a liquor store it's not like any other one I've been to. Total Wine is more of an experience. Total Wine is not the traditional liquor store with just straight white metal rows of booze. The shelves are more like dark wood cabinetry giving the place a classy atmosphere. They have several areas for samples from wine, liquor, or beer. We've tasted some great products there and have bought many of them. Now the important part, the prices. They are the lowest cost of the stores I've checked prices on. For liquor, my favorite 12yo Scotch Whisky their price $29.99 vs. $41.57 at two local chains in the area. Just for that one bottle that's $11.58 per bottle savings. I've checked the prices on several other bottles and they are in the same price savings. As for wine, I'm a firm believer that a bottle of wine should not cost more than $10. They have a huge select of wines from all over the world in my price range but if you want the higher dollar stuff they have that too. The selections are HUGE. From Wine to Scotch you have more choices than you can imagine. Oh and I forgot to mention the beers. You just gotta see for yourself. read more
