Upon my admittance, she rudely asked why I thought I needed to be there & if he was unable to communicate her findings to me at home. Her vocal tone throughout the exam was condescending while her body language & facial expressions communicated disdain. She proceeded to give medical reasons based on my husband's complexion, making the assumption that he is caucasian. She also made a statement regarding him as not being black & when corrected remarked that he insists on faking that he is Jamaican. He is a very fair-skinned man of mixed race (black & white), which is stated on his paperwork, born & raised in Jamaica. We were both insulted and astonished by her unprofessional & rude mannerisms. This interaction not only turned us off on an interpersonal level, but also caused us to not trust her medical advice as she refused to take his complete genetic make-up into account.
