I walked in and an Asian man was sitting there but, all be could say was "massage". He called the "massage therapist" to the front and she only spoke Spanish. They charge $60 for an hour of "full" body swedish massage and an extra $3 to pay with a card. She took me to the room and turned on a blue light instead of a dimly lit room. There was typical relaxing music playing but, as she started the massage on my face/head and shoulders I could hear the reggaeton (Spanish dance) music playing in her earphones. About 10 mins into the massage the therapeutic music stopped playing so all I could her was her music. Then another 10 mins later a woman came into the building and was being so loud. As for the massage, she concentrated mostly on my hands and feet and maybe 5 mins at the most on my back which I specifically went in for (I told them that and also specified it in the intake form). She kept losing physical contact to get more lotion every 2 mins or so, it was quite frustrating. She also didn't use any special strokes or techniques. The massage was definitely not worth $60 and then she asked for a tip at the end. TOTAL waste of money! You're way better off going to the massage school and paying almost half the price and getting a much better massage from students trying to make a grade as well as having a better "spa" like feel.

I like the small business atmosphere and warm welcome I received when I arrived. The lighting in the room was just right. It was a rainy, overcast day, which was perfect. Mari Lu paid excellent attention to areas of concern. I asked for a very firm massage and that is exactly what I received. Her techniques seemed to be up to date and she does not give you a "canned routine" type of massage. She has the ability to work very deep so know what you are asking for or you might be surprised by the pressure. I am not a fan of an oil based massage but I have to say she managed the product well. I was somewhat oily after but not as much as I have experienced with other massages where oil was used. I like that she started the massage face up. This told me right away she had her own style. I do wish I had been given an eye cover though. The table felt like it had a nice cover but no extra pad. I prefer a padded table but that is totally just a thing I like, not a necessity. She really worked my shoulders and hips, which I needed. I loved the leg/back stretches too. She added hot stones and the temperature of the stones was perfect. I liked that she left them in the palm of my hand for a short period of time too. I get a therapeutic massage every two weeks and I used to have my own massage business, so I really tune into what a therapist is doing. Daisy was the one who give me the deep tissue massage and she's know what she's doing. She has magic hands and she's always asking for any specific areas that's hurts. The place is nice, clean and makes you feel like you have been there before. A bit far for me but it was worth the drive. I will for sure make more appointment in the future.
