The small Juice / Soup / Sandwich / Wrap bar (located in the middle of the store) is great! They put an emphasis on Organic and/or Gluten Free fare, which is awesome. The gentleman running/working the bar does a great job! Not your "run of the mill" soups. We got a couple bowls of Knoephla (GF), the other day & it was delicious. I do hope they expand the bar hours, at some point. It closes at 4:00 pm (M-F), but the store stays open until 6:30 pm. The bar also isn't open on Saturdays, which is a bummer. I'm probably just being selfish, but with a high of 9 degrees today, I could really go for a hot bowl of goodness, right about now. :-)

It was soooooooooo good, I'll be looking for something like it near where I live, probably forever!!! They got my first juice out to me quickly and when I showed up later in the day he had just closed but told me that he would make me another anyway the store is conveniently located, clean and has great vitamin/supplement/wellness offerings and healthy grocery food options as well. This is not a store for one on a strict budget, but if you follow their ads and can shop their sales you can do well enough for a splurge or two. I agree with some of the other reviewers about the produce. It's hit or miss. The last few times, it's been good, at least early on the weekend. As the week goes on, the quality gets less. Shopping here is a matter of timing I've come to learn. With all that said, though, there are some good organic options in nearly every category, including the vitamin section. What has impressed me are the employees, with a few exceptions, they are friendly and helpful when I'm looking for something particular. I've tried a few of the store branded things, most of them are just as good as similar branded items. The natural cleaning products for instance, the glass cleaner, is good and doesn't have that vinegar or ammonia smell. That stuff makes up for some of the other less than stellar products. The store-branded non-GMO, organic, nuts and alternative flours are also winners. Natural Grocers has an impressive library/catalog or whatever you want to call it, in the back corner with information available on supplements, minerals, food and ingredient guides, and the like with a cross references. It's like having a compendium without having to buy multiple books to get the same information. From time to time they offer classes on healthy eating in their test kitchen in the back. Although Covid has put a halt to the test kitchen food preparation classes, according to the employees, those classes will be coming back at some point.

They have excellent vitamin, mineral, and naturopathy meds here at much more reasonable prices than even natural grocers or Lucky's, etc. The organic vanilla extract is the cheapest I've found and their kombucha is cheaper than everywhere else too!
