I found Balance Wellspace Integrative Medicine, which advertised that it helped with these issues. After reading the reviews and researching the company, I scheduled a preliminary consultation to see if they could help me with my problems. I told them that I had been struggling with this for over five years and explained that traditional medicine offered no answers. The team at the center conducted an evaluation and provided me with an 8-week plan consisting of three sessions per week. While there was no guarantee that their treatments would help, they led me to believe that they had treated others with similar conditions. They cited cases in which other patients had resumed an active life and engaged in activities such as playing golf. After faithfully attending each session, I noticed no change in my symptoms or function, which was a clear sign that the treatments were ineffective. I believe that they should have known, following their initial evaluation, that they wouldn't be able to do anything with their treatments that would actually work for me. I invested a great deal of time and money in what appears to be an empty promise. While I know there was no guarantee, I want to warn others before they put time and money into an empty promise.

The therapists that worked with me provided not only the health and physical support I needed but also counselled/advised me with long term exercises that will assist me for the years to come. I regained 80% of mobility and most of my strength back in my dominant shoulder/arm when the initial assessment was hopeful for a 50% return in mobility. He wouldn't let me talk long enough to even tell him my symptoms or what prior tests I'd had. He launched instead into a bizarre physical exam--I was there for a neurogenic cough, and he examined my feet in detail but didn't listen to me cough before pronouncing that he didn't think I had a neurogenic cough and therefore wouldn't treat me for it. He wouldn't answer any questions. The real fun came at checkout. I didn't know until then that he had ordered an MRI for me. Why would you order an MRI for someone who has a chronic cough? I have no idea. He'd also ordered a huge list of bloodwork. I didn't go to the MRI or go get bloodwork. I got a referral to Dr. Cramer, who is much, much, much, more professional and didn't try to make me have an MRI. When I told my therapist about this experience, she said I was far from alone and had had many clients who'd seen him and had similarly awful experiences. And yes, because I have Medicare, I still had to pay through the nose for this quackery.

While I've had positive visits in the past, my last visit was disappointing. The reason for…read morerequested diagnostics were not fully explained and there was no mention of billing so that I could make an informed decision. I should have read the forms more carefully, but it would be helpful for the physician and technicians to go over them verbally. I was told later that there was no way to no what the cost would be. However, I was given a bill promptly after the diagnostics with an amount. In other practices, such as optometrists, a full rundown of costs are given before you purchase an item. It isn't difficult. So, I find it unconvincing that a routine test and standard insurance deductibles could not be estimated beforehand. Another issue I encountered at this office during several visits was the display of a bible -- once in an exam room and later in the waiting room. I was told that patients sometimes leave items. But there was no indication that they intended to do anything about it. I find it hard to believe people randomly leave items in exam rooms without them being noticed and removed. I think it's important to create a neutral and welcoming environment for all patients, not just a select group. So, Lewis Gale Physicians apparently are either proselytizing or pandering. Neither is useful in a medical practice. I will likely be looking for an alternative that treats all patients respectfully, discloses costs, and communicates more effectively.

When I walked in I was instantly greeted with a huge smile from the lady at the front desk. I was taken back soon after signing in. Every single person I met was absolutely wonderful, welcoming, kind, and very easy to talk to. When talking with Amber Neal I instantly felt comfortable and I felt like I was in very good hands with this office. I have never had such an excellent experience and I am very grateful to now have such a supportive and kind family physician.
