Long version: Scenario - It's a freezing (sub 40 degree) day in North Texas and I'm out of town on a business trip with my wife, son and mother-in-law at our home in Flower Mound. Wife calls and says the heater is not kicking on. She calls an HVAC company who comes by checks the heater in the attic and says, the unit is working however there is a pipe that vents through the roof of the attic that seems clogged or bent, but they don't do those type of repairs and she would need to call a roof company. Frantically, I scour Yelp for a good review and find people glowing about Bret's service and I give him a call. It's late in the day on Friday and when I explain the scenario, he immediately sprung into action and helped us resolve the issue. I'm going to highlight multiple reasons why Bret, owner of Texas Pride Roofing and Fencing will always have my business for roof and fence needs for as long as I live in the DFW metroplex. 1. Promptness - When I called Bret although it was later in the day, he was willing to head to our home and check out the situation, getting to our home in a couple of hours due to the severity of the situation. 2. Honesty - He took photos of the situation and gave a fair assessment of the situation. In this instance he said, "I don't have all of the parts that I need now but I can get you up an running for today, and then come back next week after I'm able to get the parts when I can get to a supply shop" 3. Thorough - He was on the roof, in the attic, and investigating the situation from every angle. Shared photos of his assessment, and was descriptive about what he was doing. 4. Genuine - The first time he came to the house, he hopped on FaceTime to talk to me and make me feel at ease with him at the house with my wife and family. You can look at someone's eyes and know that they are being sincere, that is this guy 100% 5. Follow up - It took him coming to the house a few times to get the situation completed, and I had to ask him for an amount that I owed him. He wanted to make sure that I was satisfied before asking for money. A true stand up guy, good business man, and yes, the roof is fixed, the exhaust pipe repaired, and the heat is working. These are all pictures that Bret provided, the first four (4) showing the problem and the last two (2) showing the repaired duct work and exhaust/vent pipe Although this was not a typical roofing job, Bret went above and beyond to make sure our family was warm and comfortable. Thank you Bret, and Texas Pride Roofing and Fencing.

I am going to have to redo almost everything that they did. They simply do not care. Everyone you talk to is an "owner" yet not one of them takes responsibility for their poor work and service. One of them kept saying how beautiful my new porch was. First of all it isn't a porch, it is a patio cover. She had never stepped foot on my property, so she had NO clue what it looked like. I asked how long it would take to COMPLETE the job before they started, meaning everything. I have it in writing where it would be 2 to 5 days. When I brought that up, they wanted to argue and say that is not what they meant. It took a month and it is still not complete. Horrible company and even more horrible employees. They subcontract everything out and do not followup on a darn thing. They came onto my property without my permission taking pictures. They knew I was home because my car was in the driveway. I cannot stress enough how absolutely awful this people are! If you like incomplete work, rude people and unprofessional attitudes, then they are your company. If that is not what you are looking for then use anyone but them. I cannot stress enough how terrible they are!
