I ordered an electric scooter for my husband to be more mobile while we navigated the streets of New Orleans with our daughter. The scooter was delivered to our hotel on time and fully charged. It was so convenient having the scooter dropped off and picked up to/from the hotel. Note: If you plan to transport the scooter in a vehicle, I would suggest going on YouTube to view the scooter breakdown (make and model delivered to you) because there were no instructions delivered with it. My dad had back surgery right before we went ot Pigeon Forge, TN for RodRun in the fall. Of course last minute everywhere up there was booked. I found totalaccess and wasn't sure, but they were perfect. Delivered and picked up at our hotel on time and exactly as advertised. Would 1000% use again in the spring when we go back. My husband rented a scooter from here while in New Orleans. The rental was last minute due to our other rental through another company cancelling on us. However, they told us it would be at our hotel at noon, two hours later we were still waiting. Finally hubby limped to join a friend for a drink near the hotel the scooter finally appeared around 4. When we called, they told us they were trying to get it charged etc. We understand that, but a call saying that they were not going to make the original delivery time would have been nice. The scooter was dropped off with the hotel staff, who told us immediately that they thought the charger was iffy. They were right, the plug to charge the scooter fell apart that night when we tried to plug it in. Needless to say, we had a dead scooter in the morning and had to use Uber to get to our breakfast reservation. However the company did get hubbyba new scooter and charger by the time we returned from breakfast and honestly, the second scooter was much better than the first. No problems with charging or using it. read more

This must be new owners, because the reviews of how wonderful this place is, does t match what I experienced. I called to book for a chair for August 1st. They said they only drop off during the day, so I agreed for them to drop off on July 31st so it would be there when I arrived at the hotel in the even of the 1st. Due to my flight being canceled, and being injured at O'Hare, I decided not to go to New Orleans after all. I called Total Access and told them I wasn't going to be there and to please go pick up the chair. My rental was from the 31st through the 6th. I said I understood having to lay for the 31st, and the 1st, but would like to have the refund of the days the chair was not needed. The guy on the phone said he would call me back, and never did. Today is the 3rd and the chair is still at the hotel. The site says wheelchair rental, but unless you call, all they offer on the website is electric scooters, so I think they had to find an actual wheelchair. Then they say they drop off and pick up at the hotel, but only specific times (which is fine and I agreed to pay for the day before my arrival. But, when a disabled person can't be there to use a manual chair, tells them to go pick it up so maybe someone else can use it and they refuse to refund there's an issue. So, I would think twice before using this company. The fact I called and canceled and it's still at the hotel tells me how disorganized they are, and personally, to not refund the majority days not used is bad business. I'm already disadvantaged and they were dismissive, never called me back and are taking advantage. at no time did they say if I canceled I'm on the hook for the entire rental. Wherever you call, ask in advance! would I recommend this place? absolutely not. read more

My scooter was waiting for me at my hotel. It was simply a life saver for me to be able to tootle around the French Quarter. I have a horrid back that keeps me from walking for very long and I would have ruined the trip for my family had I not had my handy scooter! It was powerful and easy to maneuver. I broke my ankle 2 weeks before attending the Essence Festival and needed a motor scooter to rent. Daniel was the BEST!!! Not only did he provide same day service, but he delivered and picked it up at our Airbnb prior to our check out. We were able to take the scooter with us and it was great.....especially since my knee walker didn't work out on those tough, raggedy New Orleans streets in the French Quarter. I cant keep up with my wife, but wanted to do an all day tour of the French Quarter and museums. Total access brought the scooter to my hotel, then came and picked it up afterwards. The scooter was tough and up to the job for travelling the busted up streets and sidewalks in the quarter. The battery I guess was powered by kryptonite, because at the end of the day it was indicating a full charge after hours and hours of use. My wife was skeptical as to how far and how fast we could go, but not now. As a note, I could have parked it and walked thru some places, but it easily fit thru doorways and ran just as well indoors as out. Couldn´t be any happier with their service. read more

I recently injured my foot and was looking for scooter rental for a conference I was supposed to attend while New Orleans and after searching online I came across Total Access Mobility. Not only did they have the best rates in town (trust me I looked), their customer service was even better. I specifically want to acknowledge Daniel in particular. Not only was he knowledgeable but he was very attentive throughout the whole process. When I emailed him for a quote he got back to me right away and if he missed my phone call it was returned promptly the next morning.
