Visited the Calhoun store 9/9/2013. Handicapped ramp was blocked with a rack of clothing outside…read morethe store. Mom and I and one other person were only customers in the store. We saw 3 staff members. No one offered to wait on us. After requesting that Mom's foot be measured, staff member had to hunt up the tool. Was necessary to request that second foot be measured. Because the shoes we were interested in were at the opposite end of the same isle, staff member cleared off bench in front of the shoes, told us we could move to the area in front of the shoes (Mom is 87 and already had shoes removed). We moved and the staff member promptly disappeared. Is this how Diprima's staff has been trained? HOW RUDE! Appeared to be no interest in customer service AT ALL. Had been a couple of years since we had been to this store. We have no plans to return. Walmart service at Diprima's prices. Will try the Cartersville store next. What is going on with these people? Must not need the business. Wish I could have scored them less than one star!

Naturally, the owner has his own art on display throughout the store which really complicated matters since he did not want his art photographed and I wanted to capture the inside of the building.. I tend to ask permission before I start clicking because artists are afraid of having their art copied. Anyway the problem was that I could not get a complete picture of the inside of this gallery which was in a very cool historic structure. No problem. If you are looking for art classes, the owner provides one-on-one instruction to assist you in tapping into your inner talent. After you have completed your art you can then have it custom framed right at the shop. I have to say that the selection of frames seemed a bit limited and that he primarily carries simple wooden frames in varies stains and hues. If you want it simple and understated, you can find something here but if you want something unique, you may have to look elsewhere. Finally, this is a great place to snag souvenir tees (in color or black and white), at a great price.
