Wow, talk about a hidden gem. This place has fast, delicious food, a great clean place to eat and warm friendly staff. The corn tortillas are locally sourced NC produce while the flour tortillas are clearly made in house. This place is awesome and if you're passing by make sure to stop. Having worked and live in Veracruz, Mexico for 2 years, I am always searching for authentic Mexican food. Tortillas Carolina is exactly what I have been searching for. Everything was delicious. I couldnt believe they had Chilles Relleno con picadillo! I dont live in Clinton but would make the 1.5 hour drive from my home just to eat here again. Outstanding food at this establishment. For it to have high reviews decided to try this place out!! Workers were talking out loud in Spanish when I told them no beans, she basically was not liking how I was a non Spanish customer trying to tell them what I would like to get on my tacos. Just horrible customer service. I understand if there a communication barriers don't show it and talk a loud after you mess up. I'm trying my best and they should try their best as well. This place probably only best for local customer because for me to be out of time to try them out, not good experience what's so ever. A little find of authentic Mexican food. No place to sit down and barely a place to park but a stream of people of all walks of life coming through the doors. Every person had their little yellow loyalty punch card with over half or more of them full in hand. It is their only business card. You could drive right by it and miss it, it is a very simple building. As many authentic Mexican restaurants they seemed to only have soft tacos on great tasting corn tortillas. You have a choice of beef or chicken with rice, tomato, cilantro and cheese. They have roosted chickens that two people in town told me they will often pick up for dinner on the way home. I don't remember the name but the stuffed pepper with beef was delicious. Stop in if your in town but you will have to take it home or eat it in your car. read more

I didn't plan on stopping at Tortillas Carolina but our road trip set us a stray and the outside looked very invited so we decided to try it out and boy did we make an excellent decision! Upon walking in you are immediately hit with a fresh smell of the kitchen alongside a wave of welcoming smiles. I never do reviews here are on Yelp but I had to for this place because it left me with such warm memories of my home back in Mexico. I will continue to recommend my homies to this restaurant because this home made quality will beat ANY fake new chain restaurants out there!! 5/5 stars. read more

I love tacos. I mean, taco Tuesday is any day of the week for me, and if I lived near this place, I'd have to change my name from John to Juan. Awesome tacos!!! Less than $2 each. You can choose from steak, chicken, spicy chicken (actually spicy), spicy beef, pork, or beef brisket. Get it all the way and you'll have a homemade flour or corn tortilla filled with meat, cheese, rice, beans, onions, and cilantro with a salsa of your choice on the side. I had three and was satisfied, but should have had ten and dealt with the fullness. The only reason I didn't rate a 5 is because they are take out only and don't serve ice cold cervesas. Nothing against them, I just prefer to sit down with a brewski when I have a taco. read more

Horrible!!! Filthy, no English, bad customer service. Bad attitude, skimpy plates. I asked was the other Tortillas Carolina theirs on Sunset Blvd. I couldn't see the food behind the glass because the windows are scummy. She said yes, she lied, I could tell by the service. I ordered 3 plates all over 9 dollars each and a soda my total was over 30 dollars I asked her to sprinkle cheese over my rice as every other Spanish restaurant in the community does and she wanted to charge me extra. I had already opened my soda so I had to purchase 2 more sodas to meet their 5 dollar minimum debit requirement or else I would've spent not a penny with them. I will never return and I work in town, I'll be sure to give them a bad recommendation. Customer Service is important when you're running a business. 1 customer has the potential to ruin you, so you treat everyone the same, be kind, be fate. read more

Food quality: Tortillas are made fresh and the meat is flavorful. I tried steak and chicken tacos and both are mouth watering. The choices are limited but the taste is outstanding. Price: you will not find a better $2 taco. Period. For $10 you could get three tacos (which are huge) and several sides. One caveat is because the prices are so low, while the food is good, it's not the healthiest. Lots of grease. Atmosphere and location: located right off the highway. Be careful if you blink you will miss it. Nowhere to sit inside or outside and parking is limited. Try behind the restaurant of the few marked spots are taken. Would I go back? YES! read more

Don't let the outside or the size scare you away. They serve simple and quick delicious options with fresh yummy ingredients. The price is dirt cheap for the portion. Portion sizes are decent for the price. Slim pickings on the drink options. Highly recommend the steak corn tacos with the works and fresh cilantros. Green salsa is perfect! read more

While BBQ brisket and pork is terrific on a bun, need to treat yourself to some Falda and Carnitas on a tortilla slathered with hot salsa, all washed down with a bottle of real sugar cane Coca Cola from Mexico--positively sublime. read more

Wow!!!! I just tried this place out for the first time, and let me tell you, these are some of the best tacos I've ever had. The place itself is a little hole in the wall, but the tacos are amazing. There's no seats inside and barely any parking, but it's completely worth it. The tortillas that they use are made in site and very fresh. One warning though, the spicy salsa you can get is exactly that. Very, very spicy. I'll definitely be going back for more tacos. read more

Stopped here after finishing a fencing job in Clinton. Freakin amazing. Spent 20$ for two drinks, a cookie, and six of the best taco's I've ever had. The tacos were shared, there is no way in hell I could have eaten six of those monsters by myself. Think of it like chipotle if chipotle was homemade and didn't charge extra for all the toppings you want. Finally a reason to actually look forward to having to do jobs in Clinton. read more

I can't believe there isn't a review for this place on here. I don't live in Clinton, but I don't drive through it, or anywhere near it, without making a trip to Tortiallas Carolina. I drive through here on my way to the beach from Fayetteville quite often and I plan my departure time to ensure I can stop here. This is a no-frills type of place and they only do take-out, but the quality of the food, price, and service warrant every star. Everything is homemade at this place from the tortillas to the salsas to all of the delicious meats they offer. They have whole rotisserie chickens, amazing beans, and outstanding tacos. If you order their taco "all the way" it will basically be a meal in itself. Just imagine a homemade flour or corn tortilla, your favorite meat (carnitas for me), rice, beans, cheese, onion, cilantro all for about $2. I'm a big dude, and three of these little wraps of deliciousness start to make my belly bulge. They also make their own chicharones and I usually leave with a bag of those for myself. If you are anywhere near this place, I suggest stopping by. It is worth the trip. The food is incredible, and it will barely put a dent in your wallet. You just have to love this place for what it is. You can taste how passionate they are for authentic Mexican cuisine. read more
