My brother and I both were there often and I met many other folks who lived in a campground also. It was a wonderful experience to meet so many people from all the different skill sets of life. The fishing was great a meeting so many people that just seemed like normal regular everyday people, but they came from many different exclusive companies at made America run. They were all retired, but you couldn't really tell one from another because everyone got along and there was no fighting or bickering. It just seemed like a place that stood still in time and no one complained about politics or anything else, but talked a lot about fish. That's what I really liked about Belglade Marina and Campground. My brother and I came here with my son who have been shot at work and was in a wheelchair and I wanted to take him guide fishing, but it was hard to locate someone that would take him on the boat as you never know what could happen. We happen to know one of the guides from when my father was alive and in the area and he took care of us. I was a little afraid about going then, but it worked out great. It was during the time that the hurricane hit New York and passed us by heading up north while we were fishing on Lake Okeechobee. I was afraid it would be really hard but guide knew how to stay on one side of a bunch of grass and clean up that area with a couple of bass here and there. It was as if nothing changed. Everyone got along and we fish that day and went on back to our house In Largo, Florida.

PROS: Very well kept campground. Lots of waterside spots,…read morebut most are reserved months or years in advance. Sites much larger than in most campgrounds. Very safe, lots of friendly campers. CONS: We have stayed at many parks and understand that the service isn't as good as our home, but the internet here has been the worst we have seen. Free wireless internet is unreliable and at times unavailable. No other internet options available (cable or dsl internet does not service campground area). Campground states that the internet is being upgraded; however they have been telling the campers that for years with no improvement. Water has rust particles. Be sure to use filter before introduction to your rv water system. Would we return? Yes, but only with internet improvements or options.

There are 6 cabins for rent as well. The View!!! There are two bathhouses with laundry, 2 additional restrooms, a pool, a restaurant, a store, public boat ramps, a lighted fishing pier, a Tiki bar and a full service marina! Each site offers a level, grassed pad with a picnic table. Full hookups!!!! Open fires are not allowed on the campsites. They also offer weekly and monthly rates with a deposit for electricity. We are staying here for 4 nights in a 30' class A. Have I mentioned the view?! We didn't have to level AT ALL! Just stabilized. Have I mentioned the view?! Pets are welcome with the usual leash laws. They also offer Wi-Fi but only near the registration office. The Verizon signal on my cell phone is at full bars and AT&T (which we use for TV) is strong too. The campground is located close to town but is very quiet. I haven't heard any cars or trucks at all and we have all the windows open enjoying the wonderful breeze coming off the lake. Did I mention the view?! Btw I'm doing something I never do - I'm writing this review after just arriving. I don't think anything in my review will change except maybe adding some more pictures and mentioning the view :) ***Update to my hasty review- although we did enjoy our camping experience here there are a couple of things to add. First off the campsites are extremely close together. I didn't realize how close until we'd been there a day and I noticed how close the neighbors power poles were to us. I'm so so so happy we didn't get any neighbors during our stay. Second, there is a Paper Mill in the area and boy can you smell it! That wonderful sewage smell! Yuck! But only at night! During the day I didn't notice it at all. So we left the windows open during the day and turned the AC on at night. Problem solved. Finally, the rv/trailer park over the canal is really dumpy and the people that live there are very noisy at night. We clearly heard a party both Friday and Saturday nights and a fight on Friday. So because of all of these things I dropped my review down a star. And I just have to mention that the view is spectacular!

My time living at this RV park has been extremely stressful due to ongoing electronic interference…read moreand surveillance-like activity that I have experienced while staying here. During my residency I began noticing repeated patterns that felt far beyond normal privacy concerns. I experienced what seemed like constant monitoring, unusual electronic interference, and sensations consistent with directed energy exposure and remote neural monitoring technology. These issues occurred frequently enough that they became impossible for me to ignore. What made the situation even more concerning was the feeling that the environment around me was aware of what was happening but unwilling to acknowledge it. When you try to talk about electronic harassment or advanced surveillance technologies, the situation is often dismissed as paranoia or conspiracy thinking. That kind of dismissal makes it very difficult to seek help or even have a serious conversation about what you are experiencing. The park itself is located in a very isolated rural area near large cane fields, which can make someone dealing with these kinds of concerns feel even more vulnerable. Isolation and distance from larger towns can leave residents with very few options if something unusual or disturbing is happening. From the outside the resort may appear quiet and pleasant, and many short-term visitors may never notice anything unusual. But living here long term while experiencing persistent electronic interference and surveillance concerns has been mentally exhausting and has made me feel like I have very little privacy. I would strongly encourage anyone considering a long-term stay to pay close attention to their environment, and any unusual interference or monitoring patterns they notice.
