Dropped us off at our B&B and was a great conversationalist. The tow was great. The repair at their shop, not so much. They replaced the thermostat and water pump. By the time we reached Moab, Utah, the coolant was boiling again. Ultimately, it appears that the issue was the radiator cooling fan. Misdiagnosed. Five stars for the tow and one for the repair.

I brought my car in for two basic services: an oil change and a battery replacement. I provided the…read morereplacement battery myself and even emptied the trunk and removed the spare tire in advance so the job would be as straightforward as possible. They charged me over $400. To be clear, this charge was overwhelmingly for labor, since I supplied the battery. I understand labor rates are high in this area, and I did not negotiate pricing beforehand. But $400+ for an oil change and a battery swap crosses the line into being taken advantage of. What makes this worse is that the job wasn't even completed properly. They did not reset the engine service light and did not reinstall the plastic covers over the exposed battery terminals. So not only was the price extreme, basic finishing steps were skipped. This felt less like "expensive service" and more like gouging paired with sloppy follow-through. I would not return.

The owner is super full of himself, and I should've known with all of the signs up behind the register that they were not gonna care about their customer and we're going to gouge prices. Understanding there are a few variables, such as different supplier, core charges..but little else..I am utterly surprised. I then reply cooly that the rebuilt trans generally (shipped) is around $2,400. He then says "So you can replace the transmission" without pause, and with full confidence in his voice and words.
