It's a good practice. I suspect that it requires a certain level of administrative competence just to persist as an independent clinic these days, but they consistently exceed expectations even so. Torresdale has all of the things you want, including the flexibility and availability that counts when your child is sick and you need help quickly. The staff is kind, and they take their work seriously. The medical team is uniformly excellent, but they have a variety of approaches that's suitable for a spectrum of patients. This is office is horrible. I work as a medical Assistant, so I see both side being a patient and medical professional. Although the word "professional" should not be included in this office. Other than the doctor and NP's the rest of the office staff is unprofessional. It is against the law to charge people on Medicaid for forms, when I called them out on it they got conformational and had to fight with them (specifically the Office manager Dolly) for the money. She said she had to contact "their" Health partners rep to make sure this was accurate, which I know this to be false as I have worked in Pediatrics for 16 years. My son who is 4 was sick and I was running 3-5 minutes last and I called to let them know and they rudely told me not to bother coming in as I was already late and told me to go to urgent care. The staff is rude and unprofessional. The office manager is the same way and are confrontational. read more

I think Dr Kuo was the only one who was good out of the remaining doctors but the overall practice and their policies are extremely awful. Dr. Patel was specifically rude to the point where I had to ask the office not to make any more appointments with her again. And no matter what time of the day you call (morning, noon etc), most of the times you have to leave a voice mail and they call you back whenever they feel like it later. Its a joke. I've never seen a doctor's office or any business where majority of the times they rely on customer to leave a voice mail. I believe since the main doctor retired, the practice has gone downhill. read more

Absolutely horrible!! They bill you for discussing something with the doctor about your child. I got a bill in the mail for a well checkup which is free per my insurance. I called and politely inquired about the bill. And because I asked ONE question.. (nothing was done, no test or extra assessment) and we talked about it for a minute they charged my insurance company and I owe them money for a question! read more

I've never had any issues with Torresdale pediatrics. The staff is very friendly and they have multiple physicians. The office is also very clean. I called today to have an emergency appointment. Our daughter has a bad case of the flu. No problem they say and get us in within 40 minutes. We arrived and we're taken back pretty much right away. The staff was great to my daughter and the visit went quickly. We will continue to use them for our daughter. Solid 5 stars. read more

Don't take your kids here. They did not see my daughters autism when it was apparent to quite a few people who had experience- they kept saying don't worry about it. Then, my son was taken there 3 times for fever and tiredness - they kept saying flu, then phenomena ..finally after repeated attempts to get them to do something different cause antibiotics weren't working I took him to CHOP. He had different kid of pneumonia that didn't respond to what they were giving him. They admitted him for 2 days - his oxygen levels dropped real low while they were running test.....go at your own risk read more

My sister had an appointment scheduled at 1:20. I was running behind because My other kids were not cooperating with getting ready and in the car (those parents of multiples will understand!). I called and told them I was running about 10 minutes behind because I was driving from Levittown. I was told that they don't have a grace period BUT if I got there before 1:30 they would squeeze her in. We walked in the door at 1:28. I was then told that her appointment had to be rescheduled for 3:00. I argued that I had called and was told we could get in. They then asked if I wanted to wait for the hour and a half (with my 5 kids) or if I was going to come back. I have waited in their waiting room for over 30 minutes before. I don't see how 8 minutes could make or break an appointment!!! I used to bring my kids here years ago and never had an issue. Everyone was always nice and I never minded the wait. New nurses/drs, new experiences. If they would have told me when I called that they were going to reschedule, I would not have made the trip! My dad wanted to switch offices and I did not understand why. Now I do. This appointment will be her last with this pediatrician! Red Lion Pediatrics is just a few minutes away and are much nicer and more accommodating!!! ****EDIT**** I am now at my make up appointment. It was for 3:00. I got here at 2:45. I wish I could give this place no stars. My family has been going here for years and never had issues. My siblings included. That was until I took my daughter here. She's been going there for about 2 years. In those years I had a back and forth battle about getting her diagnosed with ADHD. They said I needed to go to the school. Did that. Still no diagnose. Now I have to take her elsewhere because they do not diagnose there. Brought up my concerns of her snoring multiple times as my daughter has never been able to breathe normally in the 8 years she's been alive. They chalked it up to allergies. Went there in August as my daughter's tonsils were inflamed and riddled with pus. They sent her home with NOTHING. Basically said she needs to ride it out. Took her to my Dr. FIRST visit she's on her way to getting a diagnosis AND an appointment for an ENT because her tonsils are very large for a child and they believe it may be her adenoids. First visit! Only thing holding them up is getting her records from this office. They want to charge me to get them sent over. I was told that "it's a lot of work and they need to pay someone to do it." How about the money you took from me and I received no answers. As you sent my daughter home with nothing. No answers. And they tell me "well she's only been here 6 times." Well if it was only 6 times then it shouldn't be too much work for you guys. I am beyond disgusted by this place and honestly completely insulted. Never going back here again. I WILL be going to someone higher up about this because this is ridiculous. You want to charge me to do your jobs but I've been coming to you guys and asking for your help and getting absolutely nowhere. Now you feel the need to charge me again because I went somewhere that did help. Shame on you. read more

Never have a problem with this place, rather i book 3 months out, or call 30 in advance. I always get seen with the best care. Staff is friendly and helpful. And the doctors are the best. They pharmacy is right next door, or you can choose one close to where you live. Not sure why so many ppl are saying bad things about this place. Or having negative feedback. But my 6 month old son. It's a shame. You can never get through on the phone. When you try and call to let them know you are running late you can't get through or they put you on hold or they hang up. They misdiagnose. My daughter had a rash and sore throat and gave her amoxicillin and that her rash was just a sun rash. I took her to CHOP because it got so bad. CHOP said she had mono and shouldn't have had amoxicillin which gave her morbilliform rash. Front desk is not very helpful. The policies and lack of flexibility is just a disgrace. Are you seriously paying this staff to run your business?? Horrible and rude and administration is unbelievably stupid! Every time you call the staff has the most condescending tones. This place stinks. The policies and lack of flexibility leave much to be desired. I would not recommend this establishment and I also feel that they present a level of rigidness regarding paperwork and appointments. They require families to pay a fee for paperwork and medical record transfers...$25 per child. They manipulate consumers in a way that makes you not want to transfer from the establishment because it becomes quite cumbersome and costly. I'm sorry but I can't say that I was happy with the service and I would not recommend, let me add that my kids were there for quite some time as I love Dr. Horowitz . My kids have gone to this office for over 10 years but when my daughter needed a specialist and assistance was needed from the doctor and the office all were unwilling to help. If you need a specialist they will through a bunch of phone numbers at you and be done with you. They care more about covering themselves then your kid. read more

This Place is Awful!!!! I am Paralyzed and every time I take my daughter here (she just turned 1), they never help, EVEN WHEN I ASK!!! This time however was the final straw. My daughter had an appt for her shots. After they were done, I asked if they could look at her finger because she likes to chew on it. The nurse said "No you need to make an appointment" SHE SAID THIS WHILE I WAS ALREADY IN THE ROOM!!!! She then proceeded to take me to the check in station where I was told they had an appointment in 40 mins if I wanted to wait. THEN I WAS TOLD THERE WOULD BE ANOTHER CO-PAY!?!?!?!?!?!?! Are you kidding me!?!?!?!? I then told them I wanted to switch doctors, they did not care. They said "Ok, heres the paperwork" Then they treated me like i was an idiot because I asked them how to fill out the paperwork (meaning that I didn't know what forms to fill out fir what records were needed). The office manager then sarcastically asked me "Well, Whats your name? Whats your address??" It the most condensending tone ever. I then asked to speak to the doctor to tell them personally why I would not returning to there office and was told by the office manager "She's busy, call and leave a message" The staff at this office is horrible. I bring my son here whenever I need to, most of the times when I call I get an appointment the same day, and the staff is very attentive, it's close to my house, the place is clean, the waiting room is neat and clean, I would recommend every parent to take their kid here! Me and my children LOVE this place. In the 10 years that we have gone here, I never had an issue always got an appointment on the day I preferred. No one has ever given me any attitude (maybe because I am nice and respectful) my children are never a number here, like how some other office are. Oh and I always get an appointment if my children are sick with something that they need to be seen. My oldest has been to some wackos before coming here. Sorry but even if the staff was rude to me, which they are not. The level of care from the doctors is what really matters to me. All I know is I never had a problem and they are good with my kids. And there is always a fee for records to be transferred over, the records have to go to the state and they are allowed to charge it, I have been charged by other offices. read more
