When we received our sales tax audit notice from CA we were initially going to handle it ourselves…read morebut felt pretty overwhelmed by the huge list of items they wanted us to provide in order to complete their work. After some Google searches and reading through a few providers that offer assistance with these matters, I decided on SalesTaxHelper. The initial call with Jerry and Alex was quick and easy, I immediately felt like we had made the right decision and have not looked back since. Once we signed with SalesTaxHelper, they became the point of contact for us and handled the initial requests from the state as well as the subsequent requests ( which there were A LOT ). After the initial call, Alex was our primary contact and the one who handled our audit until it's completion. Being a small business and busy running our day to day, having Alex handle this matter for us was a huge stress relief and took a lot off our plate. Additionally, they know the rules, laws & process in and out so it was a huge relief having them on our side with this. As the sales tax issues continues to get more and more complex, I would encourage any business to bring on SalesTaxHelper when the issue arises for them. Alex saved us a ton of money and time and allowed us to complete the audit successfully. Additionally, they gave us the knowledge to stay ahead of all the new laws / rules coming our way around it We cannot recommend them enough!! Thank you Alex & Jerry

I really wanted to love them but they are horrible. Not sure if they have adequate customers now…read morethat they care less about newcomers. I found them on Yelp and decided to acquire them for my 2021 tax. Upon calling, Susan answered and transferred me to Alvin, whom introduced himself as a CPA. He provided me a quote for the cost of my filing which I agreed; the price was unbelievable so I referred other friends to him. I submitted all my documents to him and then he disappeared. I called his cellular number, no answer..email no answer. After calling the office and reaching Susan, he responded and forwarded my documents. I questioned it because I didn't make much more than the previous year, however, whatever he did, I was paying triple the amount of tax. He made some adjustment and although it was still double what I paid for, he refused to explain or do any further work on file, complaining the fee he offered me was "too cheap". I'm sorry but you quoted that-I didn't force you. What was odd was, I ended up getting a penalty because there was an error; again, it was so difficult to reach him for clarification-I ended up paying the penalty of $1,800. My friends had the same experience. They went to his office and sat with him; thus, he still made so much error and refuses to review it. Sadly, when they called, left voicemail to request for a copy so they can have it review by another CPA, no answer. It goes directly to voicemail. Definitely never going back to him and I would not recommend him. If you misquote a customer, that's on you as a business but you should never provide crappy services and dismiss their emails/calls. If anything, take accountability and explain your wrongful quote and provide the proper quote/price. Even so-if you don't want to be audited but have errors, don't go here.

I wanted to thank you for the excellent accounting work that you and your staff have done for our…read morebusiness. As you know, I approached you with quite a mess. We had received poor advice on accounting procedures and had countless errors as a result of that; we were using bookkeeping software that wasn't necessarily designed for use as we needed it and we were inputting information using methods that would not give us accurate reporting. In addition, we had numerous problems with our methods of handling payroll. All of these situations were making it almost impossible to conduct our business. Despite all of these problems you and your staff approached the work with an open mind, and in a matter of months everything had been corrected, I was educated in how to use the software to meet the needs of our business, payroll was functioning properly and errors had been corrected. As an accountant, you continued to address problems when they arose in a timely and efficient manner, which allowed us to be more effective in our business. I especially want to express my thanks to you for the exceptional assistance I received in tax preparation, both for our business and personal taxes. The problems we had had prior to when you first took over our accounting were addressed quickly. Additionally, you worked extra hours to complete our taxes to allow us to meet several deadlines which were crucial to our business. We have been very satisfied and look forward to continuing to work with you.
