    Deep fried Philadelphia roll
    Amanda L.

I had lunch here on a Thursday afternoon and it was wonderful! The place was busy but they service was fast and attentive. I order the deep fried Philadelphia roll and the vegetarian bento box. Both were excellent and a great deal for the price and portion. The Philadelphia roll was huge and delicious! I had such a pleasant lunch. I had I cannot wait to go back and try more items on the menu!

All the ingredients were so fresh and the fish was not "fishy" at all. We loved everything we had and the spicy items had a building heat rather than hit you in the face heat. We will definitely be returning and the staff was lovely.

First timer to Toro sushi but will definitely be back! Huge menu with lots of delicious options. The food was incredible and plated like artwork. This will become one of my regular spots.

The food was all very flavorful and the sushi was top quality, we could tell the fish was prepared well and fresh. The serving sizes for the price were well worth it and we would definitely return! I especially liked their soy sauce, it was slightly sweet and not overly salty overpowering the fish. Surprisingly enough, for our entire meal the bill was only $61 and we were properly stuffed, service was very friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend coming here for a quick bite!

Decided to come here on a whim. The inside was bigger than we expected and was really spacious. They had a few regulars so we thought it must be good. They don't have uni but appear to everything else you'd want in a Japanese restaurant to include hamachi collar and a large variety of fresh sushi and sashimi. We ended up ordering the bentos with tempura but will definitely come back with our adult kids to partake in sushi. Our bentos included miso soup and truthfully it was just a little watery - probably needed to be stirred before dished out. It also seems to be "packaged" miso soup based on the size and texture of the tofu. Breakdown of the bento: Salad was packaged mix with a nice light dressing. California sushi was spot on! Tempura had a sweet dip that we both enjoyed but the tempura was a bit greasy to me. Side of rice was good Japanese rice so we really appreciated that! IYKYK Teriyaki beef and teriyaki chicken were both done deliciously! Overall four stars but I bet if we are sushi instead, it may have been closer to five stars!

Great service and excellent food. Glad we gave it a try. We'll definitely be back for more. My favorite was the Fire Jalepeno! Most of the rolls were larger than we expected.

Great service! Menu was marked for vegan and gluten free items. Salmon was fresh! Nice atmosphere for a sushi place in a strip mall; nice decor. They have kids chopsticks.

The last time I was at this location was when it was Sushi Train. The food at Toro Sushi is much better, fresher than that conveyor belt sushi. Had the lunch special #1. It was very satisfying to eat. Was just enough food for one.

One of the best Japanese food places I've ever eaten!! Their food was fresh and delicious. I got the Bento Deluxe with chicken teriyaki and it was incredible. The portion was large and I even shared with the rest of my party. The restaurant itself is very well decorated. They were playing some classical piano which really added to the atmosphere and not blasting pop songs I hear everywhere else. This was a very enjoyable date spot! The service also was very kind and they were very friendly! We will be back again soon!

We enjoyed a quiet dinner, splitting an appetizer and 3 rolls (and probably could have been fine with 2 rolls but we wanted options). The staff is attentive and the restaurant was clean and orderly. The food was good but not great- would return but wouldn't make this my go-to sushi spot.

We had the sushi combo and the udon noodles both were absolutely delicious! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, and the staff were super friendly. I'll definitely be coming back!

There's either less than 10 plates on the belt or dozens, and if I sit there for an hour or so, not a single plate is inspected or removed allowing the sushi to become room temperature. With the mix of items available, at least 60-70% of the plates will be some weird fruit sushi or grapes. And if it's not something weird in the rolls like peanuts or fruit, it's filled with cream cheese. Today, the worst offense was how oily every plate was, the soy sauce tray bowls were greasy from not being cleaned properly and the salmon was oily from what I presume was unthawing. When I had touched the salmon, my fingers had a heavy slime on them and, while I chose to eat it, a fishy residue remained in my mouth and on my lips until I washed it off. With that, my stomach is almost always queasy after visiting. I know the prices are great, but this quality of sushi is bound to get someone sick and I would not recommend coming here at all.

Our group started with some bulgogi spring rolls, which were delicious and just enough to split between three people. I had the Super Dragon rolls with shrimp tempura and cucumber, and really enjoyed it. My friends both had bibimbap bowls and said they were delicious. Along with the shared spring rolls, it was a satisfying meal. They have great cocktails here, although their wine list is pretty basic and doesn't offer much in terms of variety and quality if you are a wine lover. I did love their Blackberry Gin-Gin Mule, however, and would love to come back to try more of their cocktails. They also have some mocktails that sound incredible. The space is small but not tiny; there's a decent amount of seating for couples or groups of 2-4 people. Our waitress was fantastic, and service was attentive and friendly. I had planned a date night with my wife for a concert in the park, but when we got to the park it was just a bunch of kids playing soccer. Turns out the concert was last night...no, this isn't the first time I've done this. We decided to try something new and my wife picked this place randomly off Yelp. When we pulled up it was about 6:45pm and it looked like it was closed. We walk in and no one is at the counter. I poke my head around the corner and see no customers, just a woman sitting. She comes and politely greets us and seats us at a table. No one is in the restaurant...like not a single customer. I'm extremely skeptical at this point. My wife says we can go somewhere else if I like. I hemmed and hawed a little, but said nah let's try it. Worst case is we have a story to tell about a bad experience. We place our order, very reasonably priced. The cook comes over with his cart to make the food. He's a jovial guy, with a good sense of humor. Makes small talk and puts on a good display. The food at this point is smelling good. I gotta tell you, this food was incredible! Absolutely delicious! So much better than I expected!!! And so much food too. I've got lunch for tomorrow. This place was 45 minutes away from my home and we will be back without a doubt!! Once again I am taught a valuable lessons...don't judge a book by its cover...

All the appetizers were supposed to be shrimp, so may have been better to let us know before they seated us and not wait for an hour to tell us ? Not surprisingly, we had to leave. It also felt a tad too smoky in there - not great ambience. Although I must say, they did not charge us for the drinks that we'd ordered, so there's that. It's sad to write this sort of review but people should know, and hopefully ownership recognizes this and changes for the better! Try Tokyo Table if you're craving something similar in the meantime.

But i'm going to do it anyways-- Some of my family members and I had just came in for lunch. We decided to sit inside since it was a lot cooler and pretty empty inside. Basically-- there were less than 5 tables being occupied inside, and all our food took an incredibly long time to come out after ordering. Some of us got some things off the lunch menu which included an appetizer. Some ordered the miso soup and since they did not have lemongrass clam chowder, i opted for the asian salad. When both apps came out, the miso soup color looked very displeasing. First off, it was green which isn't a normal miso paste color at all and just tasted like seaweed water. No flavor whatsoever. I got my asian salad which didn't look fresh at all after waiting more than 10 minutes for it already. On top of that, there was nothing asian about it, except the crumbs of raw instant ramen on top, which I felt was almost lightweight racist? There were so many different ways to make an asian salad for example, mandarin slices with wontons crisps, a sesame dressing etc. but it just felt like a prepackaged bag of salad that was also brown around the edges and they just sprinkled raw instant noodles crumbs on top to make it "asian". I deff felt some type of way about that, but I didn't bring it up at the end of the day because that's too much critique to do when we're just trying to have a meal.
