Bodyblast personal training…read more I have been with the gym for about 3weeks. The gym experience, all around has been great. The Coaches and trainer have taken the time to explain and guide you at every step. The gym availability is great for busy people.I would recommend any one who needs to make a life change and the accountability aspect to come see them. They are all so warm and welcoming.

I signed up for BodyBlast twice when it was housed in Weston Fitness, and both times I had a…read morefantastic experience. The program includes nutrition counseling, a meal plan, and personal training, all tailored to specific goals. From what I've seen of other programs, BB is unique in that at no point will you be told, "You're a female, so you shouldn't ____," and the training is not All BOSU All The Time. There's some real weight, valuable weight training from trainers who have actually studied how the body works and didn't just download a certificate from the internet. My first time with BB, because I was interested in fat loss I was given a high protein-low carb diet, and because I was interested in limiting my intake of animal protein Stephen offered a modified vegan plan. Then I was matched with a trainer who made me feel 100% comfortable as a gym newbie, and who showed me a lot of useful exercises including how to properly perform a squat. He also let me know plenty of times that it was OK if I had one cheat meal per week and didn't lecture when I told him it was pizza. I didn't start seeing real results until much later in that year, when I was long off the official program and began treatment for hypothyroidism and PCOS, but I took what I learned from them - especially the importance of form - and it changed my body in surprising ways. I was the fat kid growing up, so to be told I "looked athletic" and "looked like I worked out" was shocking. A couple of years later, I decided I wanted to start lifting heavy and went back for more. This time, I told Stephen I wanted to learn deadlifts and barbell squats, and he immediately pointed to a trainer who was excited about training a girl to lift heavy things. This trainer showed me a lot of good strength exercises, got me on a 5x5 program, and maniacally laughed as he loaded up weights for me. I saw incredible results in a short time - both in strength gain and fat loss. For a number of reasons that have nothing to do with BB, I've had a tough time maintaining a routine for a couple of years, but I'm back in action these days and still keeping in mind the things that BB taught me: lift heavy, lift properly, eat protein, watch the carbs, keep it up. I may not be a stunning before and after montage - and I may never be - but this program truly did change my life.

I looked around and contacted several different trainers, Jeff responded before anyone else. Although I looked at a few others, I picked Jeff because I just liked him. It was an excellent choice. He is dedicated, he knows so much about wellness and more importantly he is always learning. I can ask anything about nutrition, lifestyle or training and if he needs more information, he finds out and then shares with me. The thing that matters most is that here I am, four months past my big day and I still train with Jeff. I am also so happy to say that my husband was so impressed with what he saw and with what I told him, that he now trains with Jeff too. I have been so impressed with the way in which Jeff has modified everything to meet my husband where he is. A very different place than where I ever was, and the results are already visible. Not only does my husband look healthier, he clearly feels better too. It has been such a positive experience for both of us.

It took me a while to finally get around to writing this review. I waited for ever simply because…read moreI kept going back and forth on the rating. So here we go - my pros and cons Pros - Friendly and welcoming owner Mel greeted me and chatted while we waited for the class to begin. He is a very nice man and even made me laugh a few times. Plus for not having that 'gym machismo' factor. Pro - This workout is intense - I'm pretty fit, but I got my butt handed to me so much so that the next day I went out and purchased a fitbit heart rate monitor so I can see how close to cardiac arrest I am should I ever go back. Pro - This is a total body workout - strength, cardio, balance, they hit all the zones. Pro - First three classes are free - that is very generous, most places offer your first class and then you're on your own. Cons - There was no stretch what so ever. The class ended and everyone just left. I was kinda left there looking around like "is this it?" Mel said I was more than welcome to stay and stretch if I like, but they dont do it. I felt kinda odd since other's were coming in and so I just left. Cons - I am a person who need a class card. I travel a lot and so I purchase class cards so that I can use them when I'm in the area. This is the type of place that you need to buy a membership. I don't live in the area, but would love to work out here if I'm working in this part of Jersey. Cons - I hate putting this down as a con, but here goes. When this class was taking place we were just told to which exercises to do, there was no demonstration. I know what almost all of the names of things are but even so, there were two or three things that I wasn't sure what they were and I had to look at my fellow exercisers to see what they were doing. It would have been good to see something demonstrated or to have received some correction and adjustment to prevent injury. I would be back if they sold class cards and used something like #MindBodyOnline so I could see their schedule and book classes - but that is only if they sold class cards. If you are very very new to working out, you may find this to be an intensely challenging class.

Quite possibly the best butt-kicking money can buy. No two workout sessions are alike, and expect…read moreto get a full-body workout each time. Mel definitely knows what he is doing and genuinely care about each and every person in the class.

They've kept the openess of the space, which is nice. The layout is a bit off as you have to either step into the cardio section between the small spaces between the machines or go to the end of the cardio section and slide through some weight benches to get in. It's just weird. I came here and paid $10 for a day pass just to workout during the holidays, so I will preface this by saying I've only been here twice. Both times were just ok. I got to get some cardio in to work off some of the Christmas cookies. There didn't seem to be adequate stretching space, as most gyms I've been to have a specific area for stretching (with bars, mirrors and some minor equipment). The set up just felt odd to me and the staff didn't seem too attentive nor look interested in answering questions about opening and closing times.
