Luckily, you should be able to see the bright red barn in the corner of the parker lot with it's inviting menu and delicious smells! Vern and Sue are the owners, and they just opened to the public! He, a former restaurant owner, and she, a chef and business woman, are starting this new food truck (barn on a trailer) and have an incredible menu! They have an assortment of tenderloins, fries, friend chicken, fried catfish, catfish nuggets, burgers, and tons of flavors of snow cones! Most items come as sandwiches or dinners. This is all fresh and made to order so pop into the liquor store, play a couple slots or grab an adult beverage inside while you wait. They do have drinks for sale too but get the snow cone for $2- it will be just as refreshing as a beverage! Everything is very reasonably priced for a local business and if you have $10, you won't go away hungry from here! We got 2 of the biggest, juiciest filets of catfish I've ever seen and I swear this is the best I've ever had! Still drooling over the amazing cornbread breading and perfectly deep-fried moist catfish. Mmm! Fried Chicken: This breading is incredible! It must have some sort of leavening agent as it is so light and fluffy and crispy goodness (but isn't heavy like chicken chains!). Would 100% recommend to anyone trying to get a fix of a chicken sandwich; You can customize all the toppics (pickles, onions, tomato slices, etc. plus packets of every sauce you can imagine!). I am hoping to share my love of these sno cones with the random yelper passing through my very small little town of Canton IL. I would even suggest to go out of your way if you are in Fulton County and it is a hot summer day (notice: Sno Shack is seasonal, only open during the summer). Do not let the size of this little snowy capped heaven fool you, there are endless flavors and combinations to choose from. And it is REAL snow texture...none of that chunky ice crap that doesn't hold the flavor. They never skimp on the syrup either! This is one of my go to places when I am able to get home for a visit. I live in SoCal now with an endless amount of options and have never found a place even close to the soft, wintery snow goodness that is the Sno Shack. LOTS of flavor options. They also have coffee "Dippin Dots", cold drinks, and the most delicious shaved ice I've ever had. Thousands of flavor combinations for shaved ice! Their bags of popcorn are very well priced. Prices range from $4-10, depending on the flavor. I got vanilla toffee and cheesy/caramel mix. Both were delicious. Other flavors I can't wait to try are their almond clump and Devil's Dust (super spicy!). Their shaved ice comes in two sizes. One is $3 and the other is $4. I got the Hulk flavor (blue raspberry and lime). It was pretty dang good! But I will definitely be back to try their huge list of flavors. The woman helping me made my trip there so much fun! I've always loved Tropical Sno. It's not shaved ice like you get at the ball diamond with coarse…read morepieces of ice, but instead it's fine shavings just like soft snow - much better! Been coming to this little stand since I was a schoolboy. In fact, I used to work in this very hut in the summers when I was in high school. The only changes they've made is that they now put a big plastic ring around the cup to catch any spilled snow, which I actually think is completely unnecessary and not eco-friendly. And on that note, they really need to upgrade the cups and get away from using styrofoam. But the food itself is excellent - I always enjoy the red, white, and blue (now called American Pride). I'll be back!
