The only reason I gave this particular company one star is because I couldn't give them no stars. This company should not be functioning in the U.S. The representatives do not speak English nor do they have the capacity to render proper customer service. Tornado Buses are the worst. They need to be wiped off this plant and not be a servicing company. The buses are the worst and smell horrible. The bathrooms are always dirty filthy and the need to get their licenses pulled so they are not able to have any type of business in the U.S. They don't help you nor do they have proper the proper etiquette to assist customer properly, and by the looks of all the reviews I am not the only one that thinks this. The bus driver was 45 minutes late and then decided to eat when he got there and let everyone off the bus. So my 18 yo daughter has to wait by herself outside in the heat while he went in and had an appetizer and lunch. He wouldn't allow them to sit on the bus in the ac even though it was sitting there running. They say that WiFi is an amenity but it's $15 to use WiFi. Will never send my daughter on his bus again. For $79 more she can fly home from college. Where they leave on time and actually get what you pay for. read more

Extremely rude and unprofessional service DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We did everything right Purchased tix online two weeks ahead, picked up days ahead and showed up 1.5hrs early. Well we were treated horribly once the bus arrived. My two young nieces had "ASSIGNED" seats on the Dallas bound bus to sit together. As a parent, we assumed the bus line would honor this. Oh nooo!! The girls were kicked out of their seats by the driver and split up. No reason as to why other than trying to satisfy a very very loud and rude lady who did not have the seats she wanted for herself and two other adult sisters. They caused a ruckus and driver kicked my nieces out of their seats and split them up about 4 rows away and paired them with strangers. I ran back and told the dispatch operator and they told me "the bus drivers are from matamoros, they can do whatever they want." I was astounded that after fully explaining what happened, I was just brushed off to service other people. The bus was leaving and the girls were very scared about their trip. Just pay the extra 10% for greyhound to be treated fairly and like a real person. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! read more

2 hour delay and on top of that the worst customer service I have ever experienced! Couldn't get hold of my family member and decided to call to get an arrival time, aside from being on hold for 16 minutes, they hang up and when I call back they gave me attitude. Unfortunately supervisors there dont have the decency to even apologize for their personal behavior. read more

Booked with them 2 days in advance they told me to arrive an hour early...got there and the bus was late...decided to call them and see what was going on. They told me the bus broke down in Atlanta and I could either request a refund or cat h the bus the following day. But that would be impossible because I had a connecting train to catch in Dallas. I bus finally came at 3:00 a.m. and they had to ask if I could get on that bus since it was scheduled for other riders even though they didn't call nor email me and let me know the bus I was scheduled to be on wasn't coming. I really think this was very unprofessional for them to call themselves a business. The least they could've done was send an email, called, anything. read more

I purchased a ticket to go from McAllen to Brownsville through the internet. I paid $34 including a $6 processing fee. I arrive 15 minutes before the departure time (6:15am) and the guy tells me that they only have 1 bus from Tornado that goes to Brownsville and it left at 5:30am (I had 3 departure times to choose from online). So I was like okay.... don't I get a refund because this was obviously not my fault? He told me to call Rodolfo, his supervisor. Later on that day I called and Rodolfo gave me an 888 # to call. I called today Monday and after researching my case, they told me that they were going to give me a $28 refund. So I was like wait a minute, why not the full $34? She said sorry, that it's a processing fee, and that the supervisor just told her that they don't return it. So I asked to speak to the supervisor anyway, Aracely, and she said that she's going to do her very best to get me the full $34 back but highly doubts that I'll get it. I need to wait about 5 days to get my refund and that's when I'll find out. It bothers me to even have to fight for the $6 dollars. It's not so much the amount that upsets me, it's the fact that it wasn't my fault AT ALL that their website wasn't updated and my ticket was a fraud and they're not wanting to refund the full amount. Because it was Tornado's error, they should absorb the cost of the $6 and refund me the full amount and they should get their website fixed and learn their lesson. I understand they have policies but when THEY make an error, the should take full responsibility. They said the $6 were for processing my payment online and for using their website but their website has incorrect departure times! And arrival times I suppose. I had to borrow someone's car due to Tornado's mistake (I was thankfully able to get one at the last minute) and I had to spend AGAIN in order to fuel up the car. If I get the full $34, I might delete my comment and MAYBE give them one more chance in the future even though I feel very turned off by them. If they don't, I'll be putting more complaints and not recommending their service to anyone. I should've just purchased from Greyhound and gone with my gut instinct, despite their more expensive fares. read more
