(bathrooms are mostly clean) -- Most of the signs and announcements are in Spanish -- Thankfully, Greyhound announcements are in English and Spanish -- They really only make one or two announcements so you need to listen up and get off that phone, sonny boy. -- It smells like Fabuloso and Subway -- Sometimes the card machines are down so have cash to buy your ticket if you haven't online -- They do have ATMs but the charge is obnoxious ($4) -- There are plenty of plugs to get a charge before you leave but they're not near the seats -- If you're bringing luggage on greyhound, you'll need to get luggage tags (like you would at the airport) and it's $15 for your second bag. I don't know if that pricing holds true for your third piece. -- Do arrive an hour early so that you're ready to go when the bus leaves. -- Bring your own snacks and water, unless you want to eat bus station subway (which seems ill advised.) With a station this busy, I think it would be easy to let it degrade to third world style bus madness but they've done an excellent job of maintaining cleanliness and efficiency.

All of my experiences have been good…read more Fernanda at the McAllen office of Kevin's travel agency is in a class all by herself in terms of magnificent customer service. This review necessarily will be a little long, but I want whoever reads this to know just how committed Fernanda is to her clients. We first met in early January when I wanted to begin traveling through South America. Medellin, Colombia was to be my 1st stop. I met with Fernanda on a Friday and we began to work out details. I was to return early Saturday afternoon to finalize them. Unfortunately, I was delayed and did not get there until shortly after office hours and Fernanda had left for the day. I messaged her, and she said she would return to the office, which she did. Because I was not sure how long I would be staying in Colombia, I purchased a one-way ticket. When I got to Mexico City, I was informed by an airline agent I would have to have a ticket out of Colombia or Colombian authorities would not allow me to enter the country. I had about 1.5 hours before my scheduled flight to Colombia. I called Fernanda, and within about 40 minutes, she had booked and paid for a flight from Bogota to Quito, Ecuador for a month after I arrived in Colombia. I felt reasonably sure I would need to change the Quito flight at some time because i did not know how long I would want to stay in Colombia. When I was ready to fly from Medellin to Bogota, I messaged Fernanda, who made flight reservations for me. She is very careful to send tentative itineraries for clients to approve. I looked at the itinerary she sent, and it seemed fine. However, it wasn't. We BOTH missed the fact the wrong flight had been booked. It was as much my error as hers. I discovered this about 9:00pm before my flight the next morning. I immediately sent a message to her. Even though it was well after office hours, she promptly responded. Within about an hour, everything was corrected and she had me on the correct flight to Bogota. The entire South American trip is very open-ended. After 3 weeks in Colombia, I was ready to travel to Ecuador. I contacted Fernanda, and she found a suitable flight for me from Bogota to Ecuador and also booked a flight to my next stop for my South American travels. As I hope this review conveys clearly, Fernanda is extremely willing to go above and beyond in helping her clients have a great travel experience. To say I recommend her strongly, exceedingly strongly is an understatement. She is friendly, efficient, and extremely willing to help. Book your travels with her and you will be in good hands.

McAllen - Miller International Airport (MFE) is a great little Airport. Not too big, not so small…read morethat you cannot get a good meal. The location is excellent, across the street from La Plaza Mall, a hotel, and numerous shops and restaurants. There is also Uber and other similar services available. They have an Explore McAllen Marketplace and Café in the waiting area as well as inside the Terminal. In the Terminal there is also a Café, bar, VIP room, clean restrooms, and free Wi-Fi. There are six gates and two luggage carousels. So, I always smile when flying in and the crew announces, "your checked luggage can be picked up at Carousel Number 2." Just stand in between 1 and 2 , and you'll be positioned perfectly regardless of which Airline. Speaking of airlines, MFE has flights with United, American. Aeromexico, Delta, and limited flights with Allegiant and Volaris. If you arrive from and International location you will go through immigration and customs first downstairs. It has been my experience that the immigration and customs process is more detailed and takes longer here, as they go through every bag. Not a problem if you are behaving. There are also a few car rental desks across from the luggage carousels. Avis, Payless, Hertz, Enterprise, National, Dollar and Thrifty. Budget is a few blocks away, walkable, but not easy in the South Texas heat. They have easy parking for reasonable prices. Short term and long term. Airport Security is also well organized and uses facial recognition. I like this Airport because it's so easy to get in and out. The only times I've seen lines is when multiple airlines have flights departing close to the same time.

Her tone voice was so inviting and made the process very enjoyable even though I had a headache of a problem to fix please accommodate her on her heart efforts, which I'm sure she does all the time because she doesn't know me from a fly on a wall.
