Attitude is terrible. Overcharged for work that in my opinion was done incorrectly or not at all.

I usually do not right reviews, however, I saw all the negative ones and had the absolute opposite experience. I called Toreku looking for a specific part for my Husqvarna lawn tractor that is not made anymore. Got Mike in their parts department, he found the part in their system but put me on hold, because he wanted to verify that they actually had the part. He came back on after a couple of minutes and verified they had the part, he promptly took all my information and shipped the part to me, because I am out of state. Mike was very polite, knowledgeable and efficient! read more

As a follow up to a previous post: I was informed that my backhoe hydraulic lines had NOT been replaced as I previously thought and therefore it was apparently not a new line that had burst. I appreciate Toreku explaining this to me as it made me feel better about the situation. read more

I will Never go here again. Bad attitudes bad return policy's I returned a 400.00 electric winch three days after purchasing off the shelf. As it turned out we didn't need it after all and returned the item promptly having never taken the winch out of the box. There was no return policy on the slip or visible in the store. They hit us with a 20 percent restocking fee and threw it back on the display shelf with a bunch of attitude thrown in for good measure. I bought a Bercomac self contained snowblower from this miserable owner. The thing cost $8000 and couldnt move more than an inch of snow at a time. When I brought it back because it CONSTANTLY choked on ridiculously small amounts of snow...the owner...and I quote stated "get the fuck out of here." Dont buy ANYTHING from this place. read more

It's the holiday season and we are asked to shop local retailers, to support local businesses. My SENIOR friend is 75 yrs young and decides to surprise me with a very EXPENSIVE snowblower for the Christmas holiday! Exceptionally nice idea, but I too, am a Senior and know all too well how difficult it is to make ends meet each month. Moving on here, my friend decides to purchase me this $3000 snowblower and it gets delivered to my home a short distance away. After some serious thought, I decide that I want to find out the return policy of Toreku Power Equipment and I call them. Only an inquiry mind you, as I'm feeling I seriously might return this for a refund for my friend. After a lengthy chat with a male associate who couldn't provide any help, I'm transferred to what I assume is the female business manager. Nice person at first but as we engage in conversation, I find that this establishment doesn't offer ANY refunds on purchases (c'mon even a car dealership will make a refund within days of a sale!!) but will consider a refund plus a restocking fee (15%) of around $420. Now, with the holiday season, we are asked to shop to support our local small businesses. I looked on Amazon and could've purchased this same unit for $800 LESS, fast shipping and a EASY RETURN policy !!! Yes, a RETURN POLICY without a ridiculous restocking fee (which is just profit anyway). With small businesses struggling to remain open and needing our support now more than ever, it sickens me to know that some businesses out there take this stand with their local community. After all, it IS THIS COMMUNITY that keeps you in business !!! I know that my friend and I are just Seniors in our community. We try and do our part to help out our neighbors, business and personal. Sometimes our hearts reach further than our minds and perhaps those younger should see and recognize this. Policies such as Toreku's should be taken a look at. We are PEOPLE, not just another noise on the other side of a phone or credit card ! This situation was simply a GREEDY business manager not thinking of us as a person. Little does she know that this encounter not only cost Toreku two customers, but word of mouth advertising is hard to overcome, especially when there are many other power equipment businesses very close by. We know a lot of people in our tight circle. And they talk too. And this review isn't going to help Toreku nor this business manager either. I simply was calling to get information on a possible return. What I got back was a very sour taste in my mouth toward Toreku and I won't use that snowblower without thinking of this ordeal each and every time. I'll never step foot into this business again and will go out of my way to discourage friends, acquaintances, community to steer clear !! Terrible. they certainly don't go above and beyond here. would NEVER go here again and the owner doesn't care about his customers lol. Meh... Toreku has retail prices and really dismal customer service. It's like they don't care whether you come back or not! The service department isn't thorough (we doubled back and checked and found work not done) and they add more time than similar service would be at other repair shops. So, they are expensive, indifferent and unreliable -- I guess you could go there if no other choices? read more

I rented a tractor for removing washout debris (silt,gravel,sand) off my driveway after a big storm dumped lots of rain. Sent me a tractor from the 1970's that had the precision and nobleness off a broken forklift. Lucky for them I was reimbursed the delivery and rental charges. Never again. I've rented from them before and never really had an issue but somethings changed. Just read the other reviews. I bought a used kubota tractor there two years ago. I have only had farmall tractors previously, so this was a big upgrade. They added hydraulics to the machine so I could run a snow plow and wood splitter, in addition to box grader and bucket. One of the best investments I have ever made. When I had trouble with the tractor, due mostly to operator error, they were quick to come to my house, and show me some tricks of how to better operate it and care for it. There are few things more irritating than equipment that does not work, and I really appreciate that they took the time to help me so quickly. I also get my chainsaw blades sharpened there, and they do a fine job at that too. read more

I wanted to have the blades of my mower sharpened. I asked them how much it would cost. I was told they didn't have a set fee but charged by the hour. I asked what the hourly rate was and was told 88. When I got the bill they charged me $591. They said they had to do repairs. They never called and asked before they did them. I don't believe tightening a few screws and oiling the machine could bring the price up that much and I wouldn't have approved if I had known the cost. Never, ever going back! read more

I've wanted to like this business since I've been going there several years ago since they seem to know what they are talking about with farm equipment, lawn equipment, yard maintenance tools, etc. However, I feel many of the employees lack basic customer service skills as I've witnessed them being rude to customers, including myself, and also had the service department be very unhelpful for fixes that could've been taken care of over the phone. They seem to care more about the bottom line than customer satisfaction. If this happened and was witnessed only once I would say it was a fluke....but to witness it multiple times by different people than it seems to be the norm rather than the exception. Service department is horrible!!! After picking up my Kubota tractor, it took them 3 weeks to even start work (why did they even pick it up?). Then, they did over $1100 worth of work without consulting me. They said that 3 hydraulic hoses broke when they were loading it up to return it back to me. Another $500.00. After delivering it back to my house, I test drove it and something that I paid for still didn't work. Delivery guy told them when he returned back to the store. When I called, they said that they couldn't get it back into the shop for at least two weeks. What!!!??? I just paid a lot of money!!!!! Any reputable shop would have taken it back immediately. It took them another 3 weeks to even get back to me. When they did, they said that they didn't know what I have done with the tractor since I got it back so they don't know if I caused the problem so I would have to pay for any repairs and it was going to cost a lot of money so I shouldn't even bother. I grew up in town and thought I would give them the business of renting a piece of equipment for my lawn. First off the piece of equipment they sent me home with was not what I asked for nor was it to do the job it was supposed to. When I got the right piece of equipment (aerator), the pull cord broke twice causing me to repair it myself (because it was on a Sunday). When we returned it on Monday morning the owner, Tony, was very rude and told my wife it was a good thing we fixed it because we broke his equipment. He didn't want to give us the credit for the new pull cord we had to purchase and also refused to remove the one we installed. If you want to purchase equipment, no problem to get it taken care of. But if you have any kind of maintenance, repair, etc be prepared to wait and not have your equipment when you need it. I purchased a riding Husqvarna riding lawn mower/snow blower from them last year. Called them about putting the snow blower piece on before a storm coming in a couple days and they said their tech can't do it in our yard .....which literally took 20-30 mins to do in yard last year. They want to haul it to their place, put the blower attachment on there and then bring it back....in about 2 weeks. So I've paid $4,000 for a piece of equipment from your company and I'm still going to be stuck shoveling 6-10" of snow......and then he has a condescending tone when asking me "so you're saying there isn't anyone available in the house that knows how to do it?" Um no, that's what we purchased it and expected you to do, which at sale time they said just call the day before and we can send someone out to take care of it. Info being misrepresented by sales and the condescending tone from service are frustrating, unnecessary and gets them 2 stars from me. They are stressed out because snow is coming and they are getting a lot of calls from people prepping for the storm. This is New England. This happens every year. They should be used to it and prepared. Anyone can perform well under normal or good conditions. Its your true test of customer service when performing under less than ideal conditions. read more
