In store sub line still sucks and it's still slow, but if you pre-order on the app for pickup it's great 80% of the time now. Dead carts, carts not plugged in to charge, carts setting in the parking lot or abandoned because they died somewhere in the store! Other than Tops, Walmart is the ONLY place in town that provides scooter carts. Now, we can't even depend on those! I'd finally had enough the other day after I picked up a nearly dead cart in the parking lot. I went to complain at the Service desk. There were others their with their own issues. The man working behind the counter raised his voice at everyone and told a girl to shut the lights off, which she did. They then walked off and left everyone standing there! I approached a long time employee to discuss my frustration about this ongoing cart issue. Her answer to me? Well, you know, we don't even have to have carts here. We provide them as a service, but we don't have to WOW, just wow! I asked for the managers name so I could address myself to her directly. I was told Colleen but gee, nobody knew her last name! This Wal mart used to be a great place to shop. Under this manager, it's gone down the tubes. Shelves are bare, shopping carts are full of garbage that employees can't be bothered to remove, customers issues are ignored plus so many more issues Soon, the college kids will be back, joy riding through the store on these essential mobility aids and nobody will say a word! Apparently, handicapped shoppers are not needed, welcomed or respected at Walmart Fredonia. My only recourse is to try to bring my own scooter, which I can't unload and load myself, or drive to Hamburg or Lakewood to cleaner, well stocked, customer oriented shopping experience. Some steaks a couple of their sausages some pirogies, sponge candy and other things. Heck we almost filled a cart while waiting for the subs. When I handed her my rolls she said "oh sure you want those big rolls" as if she were judging me based on my purchase and then when it came to the clams, she rang them up and said wait a minute this isn't right I got to see then she saw the price tag marked 3.49 and then she gave me a side eyed look as if I was the one that put the price tag there? Strike two. And then to top it all off very carefully. She said I had to bag my own groceries myself having experience as a cashier never in my life have I seen a cashier tell the customer to bag their own products that should be the cashier's job and for the stellar service everyone raves about that's the complete opposite strike three. So therefore I love the products there but I have to take away two stars for service.

On the day that we visited, Falconer Meats was hosting an event called "MEAT US IN THE COUNTRY". Vendors were selling handcrafted items and farm stand produce. There was a BBQ food truck as well as an ice cream food truck. A winery was offering samples! It was an absolute delight to meet the nice folks from llama Adventures at Buffalo Creek, displaying their animals, as well as some of their handcrafted llama fur items.
