I have been with state farm for 4 years and it was a mistake to change to this agency. These agents are incompetent. I was driving without being insured because tara doesnt listen or care. She put coverage for another car that i told her was sold. Im still not covered in the right car because the process of switching agents taking for ever. I had spoke to tara who was my agaen about 6 times in 6 month's every time to make sure i was covered in the right car and everytime she would asure me i was, now i found out i had been without insurance on my car since September of last year, me driving without insurance cuz she forgot 6 months ago to change it, and everytime i called to make sure she lied nd didnt even do her job. On top, she doesnt own to her mistake, didnt even apologize for the mistake, instead tells me it was the system who made the mistake when everyone know she didn't do her job after being told 6 times. Pluss turns out she has open 2! Policies under the car i had sold and now its being a pain to transfer my insurance to the right car because they cant find my old policy because of what she did.. i never seen such horrible customer service, they never pick the phone, and always have an excuse as to why they fucked up at their job. If ur gonna work in a job thats to take care of people needs, the least she can do is pay attention and actually be responsible for her clients needs, not clean her hand when she finds out I found i been driving without insurance. My husband and I recently purchased a home and worked with an agent at Berkshire Hathaway. Full disclosure, Trident is the in-house mortgage company there, but our agent never pressured us to use them, which we appreciated. We shopped around for the best deal, and were immediately impressed by how helpful and friendly Laura was; even before we committed to working with Trident, she and Jeremy spent time researching different interest rates and loan programs we could qualify for, which just felt very "above and beyond." We did ultimately get the best rate and package from Trident, and I was consistently blown away by how responsive, responsible, patient and kind Laura was as we moved through the process. I was absolutely caught off guard by how much paperwork and back-and-forth was involved in getting a mortgage (SO MUCH. Seriously.) and Laura answered all our questions quickly, professionally, and most importantly, thoroughly - I never felt like I was annoying her, even though I was nervous I was annoying her (sorry, Laura!). At one point, I actually told my mom how pleasant our mortgage process was, and she laughed and said, "No one says that about their mortgage broker!" We had a 45 day closing on our house, which seemed really fast to me, but Trident made it seamless, smooth, and as painless as handing over your entire life-savings can be - I hope I don't buy another house soon, but if I was ever in the market, I would hands-down work with Laura and her team again.

I drove down to Morrestown, NJ this morning to represent a client who was the executrix of her uncle's estate and was selling his home to a very nice couple. Upon arrival at the suburban office complex, I found the office of Collegiate Title Corp, and introduced myself to the staff. They seemed somehow surprised that I was there, but we figured it out, and I went into the conference room to await for my client to arrive. The buyers were already there and waiting for the closing agent to show up and take them through the blizzard of documents they had to review and sign. The agent was the last one there, and it was obvious she had not looked at her file. She was apparently not employed by Collegiate, but an independent closer hired to handle this transaction. Most closings are arranged for the buyer to meet with this person an hour before the seller arrives, so all the papers can be shuffled and inked. Not this deal. We had to wait while she familiarized herself with the docs, and then slowly went through them with her clients. Tick tock. This was a first purchase for these nice people, and they had questions they wanted answered before signing their lives away. This "professional" either could not answer them, nor explain the mortgage, note, affidavits, disclosures, etc., or did not want to bother. It was obvious these folks did not fully understand what was going on. That English was their second language did not make it easier. Anyone ever hear of interpreters? Didn't think so. I ended up explaining a few things for them, but ultimately realized that we would never get done if I jumped in to do it. They weren't my clients, but this was not right. Two and a half hours later, we were handed our checks, and said, "goodbye." We should have been and gone in 30 minutes. What I expected would be a short morning meeting with a local Yelp breakfast afterwards, became an ordeal, and lunch. Friends, don't let this happen to you. If you are spending several hundred thousand dollars, hire a lawyer to take you through it. Believe me; it is worth the money to know someone is protecting you, and explaining things completely. Don't let anyone talk you out of it. And, don't find yourself in Moorestown at a strange title company, where no one is really in charge, nor cares about helping you. The buyers asked for my card, so maybe I'll be seeing them again.

The Buyer elected to use this settlement company and it has been a headache for me, the Seller. 1 - They didn't get the property address right on the HUD-1 form. You have got to be pretty darn careless to get that wrong. In fact, anyone using a settlement companies who get that type of information wrong should demand their cash back. It is like going to the supermarket and the supermarket happens to stock only rotten food. 2 - Seller's perspective rant: Typically in 3 business days, the settlement company notifies the HOA about the property transfer and of course that didn't happen. I had to get my realtor to get the HUD-1and send it to my "old" HOA. This shows a lack of accountability and thoroughness from a SETTLEMENT COMPANY. 3 - Seller's perspective rant: They deducted outstanding gas, water and condo fee that is not due from the settlement amount, then they DID NOT PAID THOSE DAMN BILLS. AGAIN, this is a SETTLEMENT COMPANY that is failing miserable in settling ANYTHING. The settlement was 6/30/2011 and my HOA receive the documentation 7/13/2011. Avoid if you can... avoid any company that recommends and uses this firm because they are as likely to be as careless.
