I prepaid online with credit card including a generous tip so my son would not have to worry about payment. Since there is little chance that the barber would have filled the appointment anyway, I asked if that could be applied to a new appointment. The folks here said no and they were not very nice about it. So while technically it is their right, I did not find them very agreeable. Since my son was at fault, unfortunately I am taking it out of his savings.

I haven't colored my hair in ages and wanted to do something fun & noticeable, but still passable in professional environment - results were perfect. Stylist also listened to my input about my hair type and what I was looking for in a cut - she totally ran with my criteria and made her own suggestions and adjustments. Resulting cut complements my face shape and boosts volume where needed. Have gotten tons of compliments from hubby and coworkers! Withheld a star because appointment was running behind, I was not offered anything while I waited, and some detail cleaning needed (e.g. dusty shelves). Overall quality of color and cut service outweighs these minor complaints - will definitely go back.

I had a pretty bad experience here. In fairness to the barber, my hair had grown to nearly…read moreshoulder-length, and I wanted it cut pretty short. The barber, who I believe to be the owner, complained over and over again that my hair was so long as he was cutting it, which put me in an uncomfortable position. He didn't say anything beforehand, only when he'd already started cutting it. It was a quick cut, I was in the chair for maybe 20 min, and there was no one else in the shop, so if he was inconvenienced by the length of my hair in terms of timing there wasn't anyone else waiting or anything. Ultimately I tipped $15.00 on the very reasonable $25.00 bill because he made me feel so bad, and because what I was asking for was obviously labor intensive, that's no problem. The cut looked just fine from the front, but I came to find that there were many tufts of unevenly cut hair on the back and sides that he had slicked down, so I had to go over the back and sides again myself at home. In the end, I don't think it was worth it for the unnecessary guilt trip and the shoddy job.

I'm torn on how to review this place. Let's start with the positives. All of the barbers here know…read morehow to fade, and they certainly take their time with your haircut and give a good effort. The prices are reasonable for the area. Now onto the negatives. Language barriers, if you do not speak Spanish it will be extremely difficult to convey what kind of haircut you want. I've come here a few times and shown them photos and it's very hit or miss. The last time I was here, as soon as I sat down the barber picked up his clippers and got to work, didn't even ask me what I wanted. The final straw is that the last time I was here, I was ignored, no one even acknowledged me or motioned for me to sit down. Finally one guy looked up at me and shook his head. If you can speak Spanish and tolerate blaring music and spending a couple hours at the barber shop than this place is ideal for you.
