Well, it was a good thing we did, since we didn't get to go back for afternoon tea... Just as the name suggests, it is located right by the canal. It was very picturesque, peaceful and relaxing. They also have seating upstairs, and had histories on the canal, with photos posted all around the wall. Their cakes looked amazing, but I decided not to order any dessert on this day. Yes I know, a big mistake! Our friend ordered Heavenly Hot Chocolate, and it looked so pretty! We went with Teashop House Blend Tea, and Earl Grey. The young boy who brought the teas (I hear this is a family-run business) was trying to very careful not to mix them up. But the funny thing was, he totally mixed the tea up! LOL. We didn't realize until half way through... I thought the House Blend tea tasted so much like Earl Grey. For lunch, we had Ham, Cheese & Chutney Sandwich and Eggs Benedict. They were both tasty, nice portion, and filling. Our friend went with something healthier, and ordered one of their vegan sandwiches. It is nice to have that option if you want or need vegan dish. We had a nice quick lunch here. It was adorable and cozy. The food was good, not amazing, but good. I think the sweets might be better than the actual food...I will never know, unless I go back! Lesson learned: don't never expect your plan to go just the way you planned them...and have your dessert first!

We only got some baguettes and chips so nothing ground breaking (hence the 4 stars) but it certainly hit the spot after wandering around in the fresh air of the forest. I highly recommend the Twice-Cooked Sleeper Chips. They're fantastic! My husband had a cappuccino and he gave it a thumbs up (I don't drink coffee so you'll have to take his word for it). We also got some carrot cake and a piece of Millionaire's Shortbread to-go. We ate them later that afternoon and again: delicious! I suggest going and maybe trying something more interesting than the egg mayo baguette I ordered. While very tasty, they've got loads of other delicious sounding dishes on the menu such as gourmet burgers, free range omelettes and full English breakfasts. My whole family is coming over next year to visit the UK and my husband and I soundly decided that we will be bringing them out to the Station House so they can enjoy a truly English dining experience out in the very picturesque New Forest.

The service was excellent, this place was very quaint and clean, and there's an outside patio too. Before arriving here we had sampled clotted cream tea at a few other places, but when we tried it here it was excellent - a cut above the rest. The quality was superb. Definitely one of the most memorable and enjoyable places I visited during my tour of England, I highly recommend taking the time to visit this town and their lovely tea room and restaurant.

Feel free to wander round the delightful well laid out garden. Sit and enjoy the beautiful bouquet from the roses. Dedicated team of gardeners. Top off your visit with a cream tea, scone jam and cream, with a pot of tea or a very naughty slice of chocolate cake. Very friendly staff and good facilites for those with mobility issues. Plenty of free parking.

They offer a wide variety of GLUTEN FREE options for both meals and baked goods. And everything (with or without gluten) was phenomenal! The staff/owners went above and beyond to accommodate my daughter to the point it brought a tear to my eye. They genuinely made us all feel very welcome and treated us as if we were valued family. The outdoor garden space is so peaceful and beautiful. A must stop for everyone!

So I had to come back for their "Sunday Roast" (afternoon dinner feast). Three courses of delicious homemade food, everything scrumptious, only £16. Such a great value. OMG was the food good. REALLY outstanding. It's a bit of a drive from Bath but it's also glorious country and you can leave the traffic and tourists behind. Will definitely be back.

The owners, Nicky and Pete are simply lovely, they can't do enough for you and make a mean breakfast! They have a lovely, old red setter called Bertie, who deserved a lot of my fussing over! The room was quaint and old fashioned in the nicest sense, with a comfy bed, wardrobe and t.v, plus gorgeous views looking onto the garden. It holds a large on-suite, with a huge bath but my only complaint is the shower didn't work too well, the temperature of the water couldn't make up its mind and kept switching from hot to cold, forgot to mention it to them though. This place is perfect for Ramblers, a short distance from the centre of Wareham and Poole. I recommend!
