The facility has several batting lanes with a variety of pitching machines. Some are manual-feed, while others are automatic, and the speed and height can be adjusted to fit different skill levels. The equipment and lanes were in great condition and worked well. There's also a comfortable lounge area with a TV, along with additional seating near the cages. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained, which is always a plus. The owner was working at the front desk and was friendly, helpful, and informative. We had a great experience and will definitely be coming back.

My 9 year old has been going to Hector Lara consistently for about 13 or so lessons. We've tried…read moreother facilities with big name MLB stars but found Critical Baseball is a much better fit with private one on one lessons. My son could barely hit the ball and after being pegged 9 times in AA, his confidence was gone as was his swing. Hector broke down his swing and rebuilt it from the ground up. It was a progression but now my son's confidence is through the roof. He's consistently hitting the ball with power and his mechanics are night and day. Even when we returned to fall ball, the coaches were immediately impressed commented how "he's crushing the ball!" Hector said my kid has met 20% of his potential and I love how he adds more and more to his mechanics each lesson. We've begun with pitching lessons and within the first two have notice significant improvement. Having the basic mechanics taught and re-enforced made a big difference. Before he was taught to follow through and push off on the mound. Hector broke down the mechanics in 7 steps and makes my son work on them without worrying about velocity at this point. Now he's throwing more strikes and using a proper leg kick for balance while "attacking" the batter. Hector is great with the kids and makes it fun for them to learn. I find him challenging my son a bit but stops to re-enforce what he consistently teaches when things go south. People are traveling far to get to this place with a lot of travel ball, high school, college players working out here. I've seen a number of our little league guys from AAA-Majors hitting with Hector although the parents won't admit to it.

I figured it was worth a shot to have someone else work with him besides his dad. What a phenomenal decision. Dramatic difference in his approach and swing after only one lesson. We just had our third lesson and he can go almost the entire session without a swing and miss. Hector had several students go D1 last year as he works with elite talent from all the major High Schools. It's a no brainer folks and I can tell you my son can't wait for his lesson every week.
