I went to Top Ten Nails on 4/20/2023, for the first time and I will not be going back. If I could give this place a zero in rating, I would. The lady told me that I would have to soak my acrylic nails for an hour, which was completely fine. She got done with the person she was working on after one hour and 30 minutes of me being there.I thought I would be next, but she decided to start working on one of her regulars who came to the shop way after me. Then, the man told her to work on my nails first and she came with an attitude. There was no friendly conversation, no professionalism, and definitely no warm welcome for what could've been a regular customer. She didn't even ask me what color I wanted. I told her that I wanted the pink that I saw hanging on the nail chart and she basically handed it to me like I was aggravating her. Once she finished my nails, they were that crusty white look and I had to ask her for some oil. I will make sure that everyone I know is informed NOT TO GO HERE. If you are going to spend your hard earned money, spend it on a place that will give you respect and kindness. The manager responded to this review on google stating that her employee told her that she did none of this. The employee stated that I only wanted my acrylic nail soaked off. Who would go to a nail salon to only get that?!? The employee even asked what I came to get and I said I wanted my nails painted and toes painted. The worst nail experience ever. The guy I had rushed so fast with my nails, he filed them so fast, I had to ask for him to refill them in the shape I wanted . Then he painted my nails and that was a joke.! Didn't clean under my nails just filed and put color on. Didn't even clean up the mess he made on my skin!!!!! I've never had that happen to me . Then he put a clump of lotion on my arm and did one rub, not joking at all, one rub and I left with lotion still on my arms that you could actually see clumps of lotion. Legit the worst ever and I've never really complained about nails before but I am so mad at the service .!! read more

This is my second time going back to this place. I loved how he took the time to shape my nails and paint them. However, when I checked my bank statement I noticed he charged me a dollar more. This is NOT okay and is considered STEALING. If you take a dollar extra from every customer... I'm sure it starts to add up. I will not be returning back. Top ten nails are not a good place at all no one should go there not one but two people could not do my nails the young guy did know what a stiletto nail was then I showed him what they look like on my phone and he still shaped them wrong so I told him to stop and just left the shop without getting my nails finished this was the most terrible thing I've ever been threw with my nails and I been getting my nails done for over ten years read more

I really liked this place. I'm in town from Chicago and am usually skeptical about going to other nail salons but I REALLY needed them done. I came in with no reservation and was helped right away. Mary did my no chip manicure and did a great job. An older lady did my pedicure and was just as good. While waiting for my feet to dry they brought me a water bottle and a cute pair of flip flops to go home in. Not the flimsy ones I usually get back in Chicago. Also, the prices are very reasonable. No chip $25 and pedi $20. I'll definitely come back next time I'm in Lakeland. read more

Poor customer service. My teenage daughters went to get a new set of acrylic nails. They said they wanted a manicure, then explained they wanted a new set. Nail tech was chastising them by saying you can't ask for a manicure then ask for a new set. They are two different things. While I understand that they should have asked up front for nails, she told them you don't get a manicure when you get nails. They don't cut or push back cuticles if you get nails and she already started! $35 for a new set of nails. Seems like my girls were taken advantage of. More importantly, don't be rude to your customers... no matter if they are only 17! Needless to say, we won't be back!!! read more

I love Top Ten Nails. Nina is the best nail artist there is. She can create masterpieces on your nails. They are beautiful. I get so many compliments on my nails. Everyone wants to know where I get my nails done. Nina will also take early appointments which is great for me. I get in and get out before I go to work. She is so amazing. When I first walked in, all of the workers were busy so I was fine with waiting. I was told to pick a color, so I did and sat down. After waiting for about 25-30 minutes, another woman walks in. She was asked to pick a color as well. She does not sit down but stood around impatiently, and then after about 5ish minutes started to head towards the door - just standing near it, as if she was going to leave. Right away, a worker comes and tells her to come with her to work on her pedicure. Nothing was said to me about when I would be able to be tended to. I thought maybe that lady was solely working on pedicures that day. But then 5 minutes later another woman walks in. She seemed like a regular with how the worker greeted her. Same thing, they asked her to pick a color. Within 4 minutes, another worker goes up to her and tells her to come to sit her down. I looked the worker dead in her eyes like, "are you going to say anything to me?" Like you have seen me sitting here for close to almost 40 minutes by now. They said nothing, not even "we will be with you in a moment" or anything. It was completely rude. And it was funny how the other two women walked in, obviously without an appointment and were tended to right away. It really felt like discrimination. I ended up walking out and guess what? No one even tried to stop me or provide a service for me. Funny. Then I went to another salon that actually treated me respectively. If I could give this pathetic excuse for a nail salon 0 stars I would. Destroyed my hands with acetone after leaving me to soak off my acrylics for well OVER AN HOUR. I made it clear I was unhappy and tried to leave the salon when the owner all but chased me down to make me pay for the soak off. I'm fully aware that "acetone is expensive" as she repeatedly stated, and that it takes time for acrylics to soak off. However in all of the years I've been getting acrylics NEVER have my hands looked the way they do now and NEVER has it taken over an hour. I understand that when a service is provided you pay for it. However in any other place of business when a service is provided that does not meet the standard it should, that's on the business, not the customer. But I hope the $10 soak off was worth losing a repeat customer who previously spent upwards of $40-$50 every 2-3 weeks read more
