I initially hired him to replace an existing door with a new door that had a dog door in it. His…read moreoriginal fee to swap the doors was $100. On Sunday, a half hour after he was supposed to arrive he canceled the appointment on me, and we rescheduled for Monday. When he got there he informed me that the new door I purchased was the wrong type. He offered to supply me with a new door in which he would build a dog door, and install it for $400. He forgot the take measurements of the door, or measure the size needed for my dog before he left, so I had to text him dimensions. He scheduled the new door installation for Saturday. That Saturday, he canceled the appointment on me, and rescheduled for Sunday. On Sunday, he canceled the appointment on me, and rescheduled for Monday. On Monday he arrived 3 hours late and told me that instead of installing a prefabricated dog door that you can buy at several stores, he wanted to try to make his own... While he was here that Monday, he spent an hour informing me of all the many reasons why the Earth is flat, the moon landing was faked, and gravity isn't real. Oh and do I have God in my life? You hear about these people online, but it's a whole other experience dealing with one in person. Since he forgot to bring most of his tools and materials to that latest visit, he scheduled to finish on Tuesday. On Tuesday he arrived 2 hours late, and once again, forgot to bring the tools and materials required to finish. So he scheduled to finish on Wednesday. On Wednesday, he canceled the appointment on me and rescheduled for Thursday. This was the point when he started complaining to me that he is spending too much time on this job, and that if I want everything to function correctly it's going to cost me extra. It was also the point when he started demanding that I pay him even though the job wasn't done. On Thursday he arrived 2 hours late, and yes, once again, forgot to bring the materials required to finish. After more completely unprofessional complaining about his expenses, he scheduled to finish on Friday. On Friday, he canceled the appointment on me and rescheduled for Monday. On Monday, he canceled the appointment on me and rescheduled for Tuesday. At this point I was well aware he was not going to fix any of the many issues and design flaws with this "dog door" he made. The attached pictures show what the door looked like on that Monday. I just wanted him to put the sweep under the door, since I've been using a towel to try and help seal the gap this whole time, and get him out of here and on his way. On Tuesday he put the sweep under the door and called it done. The last attached picture shows what the door looked like after his final visit. Not pictured is all the scrap wood and material that he just left in my yard that he refused to clean up. For those keeping count, that's a total of 6 last minute cancellations, 5 visits to my house, and late arrival to 4 of those visits. It took him 5 visits to replace a door. It took 5 visits because he forgot to bring something literally every single time. How can someone come to cut a wooden door and forget to bring their saw? Or come to paint a door and forget their paintbrush? And the final product he left me with was so incredibly poorly done that I had to get someone else to come in after him and completely scrap the sad excuse of a dog door he made and replace it with a real dog door. One that actually closes after it's opened. One that actually has an air-tight seal. One that my dog doesn't have to leap up to get through. You're likely going to see the guy reply to this review with the same complaints and excuses he gave me. "No one would do your job for $400", or "I was trying to do you a favor", or "I spent so much time on your job." As if it's my fault that he quoted me that price, or my fault that he forgot to bring tools and materials every visit. His website claims a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If it's not obvious, that's a complete lie. His website advertises the "Very highest quality custom home projects." His craftsmanship pictured in the attachments is evidence enough of what you're going to get from this "company".

Tim's first project for me was to repair an old mirror that got badly damaged during our move. Tim…read moredid an excellent job on it. After seeing how the mirror turned out we hired him to convert an old book case into a gun cabinet. The photos I attached will show his workmanship. Tim mentioned he did electrical work so I had him rewire our septic system as the high water alarm was on the same receptacle as the pump for the septic system, so if that breaker went out the pump wouldn't pump and you wouldn't get the high water alarm to let you know it wasn't pumping. Tim explained everything and ran the wire for the high water alarm to a different receptacle to fix the flaw. Based off my past experiences with Tim he presently is working on my pump house project.
