There was caulk along the border between the wall and the tile that had to be scraped off before it could be painted and look at how clean the line is now! I love fun colors and with something this bright it's important that every angle be clean otherwise any mistakes are glaringly obvious. You can see how nicely everything was cut in and they always do such a great job protecting things that are not being painted and then cleaning up afterwards. And they always love up on my dog, which she enjoys! Dog tax included - in that picture, you can see the cool ceiling Pro Painters did for me a few years back.

Actually, they probably could have done it sooner but they had to work around some carpentry work I was having done. They were very serious about my request to match the unusual main color of my house, and although they thought it wasn't perfect, I can't tell the difference! The workers were surprisingly unobtrusive; all they really needed was access to my outdoor faucets. I got multiple bids which were about the same amount, but what intrigued me was their offer for affordable touch-ups over the years. I'll probably update this review once I see how those go, but for an exterior paint job I can definitely recommend this crew confidently.

They did such a great job, I had them paint a bedroom and two bathrooms in my home. They use Hirshfield's paint, which provides gorgeous color and coverage. One bathroom was a dark, slate gray and another an eye-watering turquoise (my selections from a long time ago). The light gray they are now is gorgeous. My painter was neat, professional, and carefully protected carpet in the bedroom. I highly recommend FreshCoat Painters!

(I wish they had left a gallon of Goof Off Ultimate Remover.) Lowlights: Expensive! (You don't always get what you pay for.) Most of the prep work was dismal. Claimed to have completed the job when it was not yet done. Not consumer oriented Unprofessional Careless--left debris strewn about the yard. There are areas of overspray. The crew managed to splatter exterior paint on the interior of the door and trim. My security light fixture is covered in paint and the sensor pointed toward the heavens. This experience really made me wish my longtime painter had not retired. He was a craftsman of the highest order. He was meticulous. He always completed the job just as we requested. He excelled at his craft to such a degree that I was always happy to give him more than the estimated amount. We are in need of some interior painting. If anyone knows of a good painter, please let me know.

Avoid CertaPro Painters of SW Metro (Eden Prairie). We spent over $10k on popcorn ceiling removal…read moreand interior painting, and the experience was disorganized, rushed, and disappointing to say the least. We are honestly stunned by how this was handled. From the start, the project was underestimated (told 4.5 days, took 8+), communication was poor despite promises of daily updates. There were too many conflicting voices- owner Sara, project manager Mike Gold, and lead painter Wilder -with no clear accountability. Wilder was rarely on site; most all of the work was done by subcontractors who didn't speak English. The entire job felt rushed so they could move on to other projects. At the walkthrough, multiple areas of the downstairs walls clearly showed the old paint color, what other painters later identified as "flashing/picture framing", meaning the walls were not properly finished. Mike, Wilder, my husband, and I all agreed it needed to be fixed, and Wilder said he would paint it. He blamed humidity for the appearance but at no point did anyone explain or propose that a third coat would be required at our expense. Then he didn't come back. We didn't immediately follow up because we had just moved in, it was the middle of winter, and we were juggling other major projects. When we later had trim painters in, every single one independently pointed out the same issue: the walls were unfinished, had many dings, and needed full, corner to corner repainting (not spot fixes) to achieve a uniform result. When we reached back out to Sara, we were reasonable. We even offered to pay for a gallon of paint since they clearly didn't finish the job and used up all of our Alabaster paint by mistakenly painting our upstairs bathroom with it (which was to be a different color forcing a last-minute repaint at 9pm). Finally, when Wilder did return to fix the issue, it got worse. Sara ignored my messages about splitting the cost of two gallons and he and his painter showed up without any paint. Then they ended up painting a coat using the wrong product - Hirshfield's Reserve Matte instead of the Sherwin-Williams Duration we originally paid more for. Wilder admitted on-site that was his mistake and offered to pay for Duration and apply another coat to make it right. Sara, later on the phone, shut that down and told him not to proceed. Instead, she claimed she's "been doing this for decades" and that Duration and Reserve are the same in quality and performance - which directly contradicts both what we were sold by her and easily verifiable differences (Duration is more expensive, durable and scrubbable). She claimed Reserve was chosen for better coverage even though earlier Wilder said he bought the wrong product. At this point, they started insisting we had "declined a third coat" at the walkthrough which is completely false and makes zero sense as no one spends this kind of money to accept visibly unfinished walls. They are supposed to be the professionals; it was their responsibility to clearly specify what was required for proper result. When we called it out, Sara doubled down, dismissed concerns, instructed Wilder not to do another coat then abruptly hung up. Wilder and the painter came back to pack up and leave again without correcting the wrong paint issue. Did not ask if we were satisfied with the result and ignored our question on why he told Sara we "declined a third coat" which never happened. We have text messages and photos to the contrary. This should have been an easy fix that any professional company would take ownership of. Instead, it turned into excuses, contradictions, and a complete lack of accountability. We paid for SW Duration Alabaster walls with a professional result. What we got was subcontracted labor, poor oversight, unprofessionalism, and Reserve walls, doesn't match the hallway. It will cost $1k+ to fix. Save yourself the time, money, and frustration and hire a detail-oriented painter who actually stands behind their work. Look at Reitmeier Painting or Prestige WallWorx.

If you need something painted ASAP, they will get the job done, but if you want it done well I'd recommend finding one of the other well-rated painting businesses in town (they often have waitlists in the 1-3 year length!). We had purchased a home that was overdue for painting, so we had to get it done in 2022, and they did an adequate job at the time. Like other reviews have mentioned, Paris isn't a very detail-oriented company. The workers who were sent out to prep our house didn't know it had lead paint, so had to be reminded to take precautions with laying dropcloths, wearing masks, etc. (This happened essentially every time we had someone out to work on the house over the three years we've worked with them.) People have repeatedly come into our yard without warning to look at the site, one time leaving our gate open so our dog escaped. During the main work, the project manager was rarely on site. Hardware was put back on our house upside down (house numbers and shutter hardware). Workers often didn't know which colors went where. Once the paint was "finished" we had to call them back once if not twice to have someone come out and catch places that were not fully painted. But by the time they were finished in 2022 the house looked good! In 2023 the house still looked okay, but by 2024 the paint had begun to bubble and peel, mostly because the prep had not been done sufficiently. We had Paris out to look at the house in 2024 and they did a little bit of touch-up, but only in the very specific places I pointed out, and even missing a few of those. The places I pointed out were supposed to be examples of the overall issues. In 2025, with our warranty running out, we had them back out to do the touchups. Again the first time workers came out, they only addressed a few of the specific places I had highlighted, even though the majority of every exterior wall was peeling and needed work. Eventually I took 20+ photos of the most egregious issues and those were addressed. I can't remember how many times we've had someone out this season. We weren't fully satisfied by the final visit, but decided we'd had enough of dealing with them. I'm sure we'll continue finding issues-- we recently discovered that workers caulked our garage attic access door shut (?!) without us asking them to, so that had to be cut open again and damaged the paint once again. Basically, if you hire Paris, be prepared to serve as your own project manager. Without our repeated follow-ups the work would have been a 1-star or 2-star quality. As it is, I'd rate the experience as "okay."

Our painting crew and crew chief Tony, and our carpenter Toby, were helpful and meticulous in ensuring everything was repaired, primed, and repainted to our satisfaction. Toby even showed us how to internally disassemble the exterior sliding-door storm windows we have on a back sunroom, so that in the future I can better monitor and touch-up the external windowsill and vertical frame paint to prevent the need for window replacements over the next decade. The painting team's semi-gloss paint brand was matched well to our metal trim color and designed to guard against the Minnesota elements, while Toby's cedar woodwork was solid and precise -- so we're optimistic that Paris' 3-year work-quality warranty won't be needed to call them back into action. We appreciated the comprehensive and detailed estimate they provided for their carpentry-repair and painting, and their willingness to ensure their work was good quality and capable of indefinitely maintaining our house windows' and garage trims' structural integrity.
