On the day of the party, I had a chef on-site, one server and one bartender, who served guests with booze I supplied. They came early to set up and cleaned everything up before they left. Their service included all platters, plates, and cutlery. The team was kind and professional. We did hot/cold heavy-apps, in total 8, which included a cheese board and hummus/dips. The food was outstanding, everyone raved about it. It was expensive but this approach allowed me to have more people join and I was able to enjoy time with guests without worrying about food or that someone had a drink. One minor frustration was the contract process, it should be standard practice to have an agreement that outlines all details, including the agreed to menu, and to have it signed by both parties. It felt like they were inconvenienced by this request. That said, I would recommend Essential Chefs Catering to anyone!

Thanks again Melissa and all those behind the scene to make this event memorable to all. John

They not only understood our vision but also helped us discover unique ways to incorporate a variety of delicious foods into our wedding day, reflecting our family favorites and New England charm. Every bite during the tasting brought tears to my eyes (yes food is that good you WILL be emotional with every bite), and spending time with Nick and Meg made us feel right at home!!! The food on our wedding day was incredibly amazing, and our families and friends still rave about how delicious everything was. We haven't stopped thinking about it either! After the ceremony, they made sure my husband and I had our favorite dishes and some time to ourselves which was so thoughtful and SO IMPORTANT. They even gave me a pre-game bite before the ceremony with the AMAZING BEGGER'S PURSE and ensured that I didn't get any sauce on my wedding dress!!! Overall, they brought our vision to life and exceeded all expectations. We feel fortunate to have gained such special friends in our lives. We can't thank you enough for EVERYTHING on our wedding day! 10/10 RECOMMEND THEIR TEAM FOR ALL EVENTS ESPECIALLY WEDDINGS!

Great Circle did not disappoint and treated us to simply amazing food and hospitality. All of our friends and family from all over the country couldn't stop raving about the food, and their new Tap Truck was a hit serving as both a source of ice cold draft beer and a conversation piece. As expected, the raw bar was top notch, and the tenderloin popovers, cheddar bites, bacon wrapped scallops, and deviled eggs were so tasty I barely had room left for the main course because I couldn't stop taking more! Our entree selections were similarly satisfying with a delicious chicken dish, glazed rainbow baby carrots, and their clam chowder being notable standouts. The sirloin carving station was a real hit, particularly with their fig and wilted arugula accomplishments, and Chef Ned's bright and engaging personality made this event really stand out with a friendly greeting and engaging conversation for all, both young and old. The whole team was exceedingly friendly and engaged, not cool and aloof like some service staff can be. I'd particularly like to give a shout-out to Jen who not only guided us through all of the planning steps leading up to the big day, but also was kind enough to go to the store after her set up was done and pick up more ice for us for our self-furnished beverage station. Many caterers would have treated this as a "not my problem"situation since we weren't paying them to provide beverages, but she went above and beyond to help ensure our event was a success. I have zero reservations about calling Jen at Great Circle for help planning our next big event and neither should you!

I hired Mellissa to cater my wedding I would not recommend her services to anyone…read more From the beginning, communication was a major issue. Both my wedding coordinator and I reached out to her multiple times with important questions and updates, only to be met with silence. This lack of communication created unnecessary stress, especially as we approached the big day. In fact, just one week before the wedding, we still didn't have a finalized menu because Mellissa was so unresponsive. On the day of the wedding, things went from bad to worse. When Melissa arrived and was setting up for the wedding, my dad overheard her asking her staff who had catering experience. Are you kidding me?? She later admitted to bringing in entirely new staff who were clearly inexperienced, untrained and unprofessional. To make matters worse, they ran out of prepared food, and many of our guests were left waiting while additional food was made. Mellissa was also seen mixing up salad bowls with her bare hands making us question what other unsanitary things happened that day. The quality of the food that was served was very disappointing. The chicken entree we had loved during our tasting was completely different from what was served. It was incredibly bland and lacked the flavor we had expected. One of the salad bowls was served with no dressing and Mellissa responded very short and rude to one of our guests when they asked her for dressing. For dessert, we had ordered cupcakes and mini cheesecakes, but there were so few that many guests didn't even realize dessert was being served. To top it off, the cupcakes were cut in half and placed in plastic cups, giving the impression of a last-minute potluck rather than a professionally catered wedding. At the end of the night, Mellissa left all of our remaining alcohol, purchased by us, out for anyone to grab. This was a major liability and created significant stress for the venue owners, who were left scrambling to secure everything. It was incredibly irresponsible and showed a complete lack of professionalism and regard for the safety and legal concerns involved. After the event, I reached out to Mellissa to share my concerns and requested a partial refund. She initially agreed that a refund was fair, but has since completely stopped responding and has not followed through. Weddings are meant to be joyful and memorable, but Mellissa's lack of professionalism and poor service created unnecessary stress and frustration. I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere when planning such an important day.

A $1500/day minimum sales was required. Fair enough. As the event grew closer, we asked if Maeve's could provide breakfast foods for one day. She agreed and we were happy. The food and drinks were good and people were happy. No mention was made about an additional $1500 minimum for the food IN ADDITION to the $1500 minimum for the drinks. Day one sales were $290 - so I'd owe her $1210. Day two sales were over $1600 including breakfast foods and mocktails. She charged me double the $1500 minimum and today I've received an invoice for over $2700! It includes those added minimums PLUS meals tax for food that was never sold! #2. A family member hired Maeve's to cater their wedding. The crew showed up totally unprepared. "Maeve" had pulled the sweet little food trailer that had been promised, to another gig and sent her crew with a folding table, no shelter whatsoever, tiny electric convection oven, not nearly enough food, nothing to keep it warm - it was an October outdoor wedding! To add insult to injury, the extension cords they had were inadequate for the load and shorted out. Note: this was supposed to be a totally self-contained unit with its own power supply. She totally threw her crew under the bus - they were lovely and did their best. But finally the bride's father fired them, and a desperate call to Nick's Restaurant had hot, delicious food to the wedding in 45 minutes. Oh, and she condescendingly call me sweetheart and darling! I'm a 71 year old successful business woman. She has no idea......
