These guys showed up 2 hours late on the job, with no explanation whatsoever. When they left at the…read moreend of the day, they sneaked away without a word (even though we had fed them lunch, talk about being rude!). We didn't know if they had finished the job or had to come back the next day as planned (we were quoted 2 full days of work). It turns out they rushed the job in a single day and we ended up with one of the worst roofs I've ever seen. They cut the metal too short and it has no overhang whatsoever (we specifically asked for an overhang), in fact in some areas it's shorter than the roof! I didn't even know that was possible. It zig zags up and down (in height), several spots were bent and scratched during the installation and not fixed, and as mentioned before, the length of the metal varies along the entire house like a wave. It looks like it was done by a team with no experience and no pride in their work. Terrible, terrible workmanship. They were also smoking the whole time even though we asked them not to smoke on our property; they rebelled by leaving us cigarette butts all over our property. They also took it upon themselves to cut several branches from nearby trees, even though they didn't touch the roof. No customer courtesy; and we were home all day! They told us afterwards that it was to "clear the area to make the installation easier". To make matters worse, these guys are refusing to come back and fix the job. I could not recommend this company less.

In April of 2024 this company came and did work to fix a leak in my roof.He was asked on a Sunday…read moreand the rain was pouring in.The owner of the company showed up and said he could get it next week as his company was working near me.I asked him to call me Monday and set a firm date so I could be present when work was in progress.I needed this date because I told him I was travelling 25 straight days to Saint John so my wife could undertake her daily radiation treatments for cancer.I could then make arrangements to be home and get another driver to take my wife to Saint John..When we were returning from Saint John,I got a call saying the work was done.I was charged $4500 for 2 hours work !!It still leaked 2 -3 days later and I had to call another roofer to fix the leak because Brookside Roofing did not warranty "repair" work. After hearing talk about liens for non payment and the stress we had at the time I paid him which was very stupid of me.Nothing I could do about it.Both small claims court and BBB said even if i were to be successful in my case,unfortunately,they could not force any reduction in payment .In closing The second roofer I called fixed the roof around the "stink pipe" and My bill was under $400 dollars and the leak was fixed !.Lots more I could say but when you are 78 years old and on a fixed income this was a real set back and I am still paying my loan off...Stay clear of the owner of this company.

When I talked to him about it he agreed he would come finish the job. Then weeks of heavy rain go by. Im still dealing with a leaky roof. He finally contacts me to say he would send someone to fix it, but starts to lead into the conversation like it's going to cost me more money. Told him Id get a different company in because I was unimpressed. This whole experience with Brookside roofing left me upset with a leaky roof and a mess in my house. He gave an "invoice" with no hst number or contact information on it and then he threatens to put a lean on my house if I dont pay him another $225 for work he didnt do. Unproffesional and very rude. Hard pass.
