Sun and Shade Landscaping was established to meet the evolving needs of modern housing markets, and the need for qualitative, custom landscape installations for residential & commercial properties, large and small. Meet the Business Owner: Ryan H.

Ryan has been a passionate Landscape Gardener since the age of 12, with a push mower and wheel barrow to wander the neighbourhood. Pocket money became a career, continually expanding a portfolio of experience over 15+ commercial seasons every summer since turning 15. Landscaping paired well as both a Royal Canadian Sea Cadet, and Canadian Forces Combat Engineer Reservist from 2005 to 2019, while continuing as a volunteer with the Navy League of Canada. A commitment to relaunch SSL saw the need for a Red Seal Apprenticeship in Landscape Horticulture, before acting as Director of Landscaping Operations within Civil Construction. Ryan is a wealth of knowledge, with special interests to Ponds, Landscape Lighting, and Custom planting, while bursting at the seems to share trusted solutions to customers problems, not a quick fix. With knowledge learned from different employers and industries, Ryan delivers commitment and experience to every project with versatility, and personal care.
