I appreciate a spacious outdoor bench seat due to often having a friend with a pram or a puppy. It expands the space of the cafe nicely. The staff are clearly passionate about their venture here. The service was far superior to other locals in charming casual friendliness and speed. The menu is basic but has interesting flavor combinations - I will be back to sample more. The coffee is for retail sale which is an extra drawcard. Wolf and Hound has found their little niche in a cafe populated area with coffee connoisseur options, not overwhelming people with too much menu choice and feeling refreshing design wise. Nothing is cluttered or complicated and I appreciate this! I most certainly will be back across town for this comfort.

Decor is on hipster vil level which is what attracted me. Yet the staff and other patrons are super nice. You'll notice a bike with COFFEE sign out the front. A special thank you to Merion and Slami, our servers, who were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. This spot has all the things a great cafe has. Interesting decor, great coffee and a slick menu. Also a nifty spot to grab some delightful artisan style bits and pieces as a gift for that foodie friend who you really do love. There is a small courtyard out the back with limited seating. Be warned there is a hidden area that takes deliveries and is possibly used as storage. So a bit loud and intrusive at times. Typical of the area the staff are knowledgable but a bit on the hipster side. But when the food is this nice and the art work so magical you can forgive.

The cafe itself is modern, clean and fresh, music was perfect for a Sunday morning and not too intrusive. The service was polite, friendly and efficient and no one was trying too hard to be cool. I was seated straight away and soon ordered the Vegemite Rarebit. When it arrived, I was delighted with the Australian twist on the Welsh classic and scarfed it down. A takeaway coffee to go (nicely made) and I left a happy customer. Only one minor gripe, being seated at the end of the bench table meant an icy blast of air every time the door opened, but to be fair was exacerbated by my own lack of layers!

It is a gorgeous bright open and airy cafe with a fantastic breakfast and lunch menu. Service was friendly and fast and they were more than happy to pack up my leftovers to go which I really love as I am a bit of a small eater. Jack B Nimble is not open for dinners but I would definitely put it on my to brunch list out west

I thought I'd be trying one of those cafés that offer 'healthy' (note: healthy but not really) alternatives but I was shocked when I looked at the menu and was presented with *genuine* healthy options. I opted for the smashed avo with a Ruby Red juice (beetroot, carrot, cucumber, orange and ginger) and was so happy when I was presented with an appropriate pile of avocado on delicious bread (that I could actually cut) and a healthy size serving of freshly made juice. A plus! The only down fall is that the space is quite small! Get in early (after your gym session, of course) to avoid the crowds as it's a first come, first served kind of place and given the huge amount of tasty items on the menu, it's easy to lose track of time and stay there allllll day long.

What keeps luring me back are the delicious and "award winning" Vanilla Slices or rather the French Vanilla Slices. I had never heard of a French Vanilla slice before I sampled one from Gusto & it is now my favourite thing to buy from them. I can see why they are award winning as the pasty is just perfect & the vanilla filling full of flavour without being overly sickly sweet. A dusting of icing sugar makes it far easier to eat than the glazed icing on a regular vanilla slice. If you're ever near a Gusto Bakery & love vanilla slices I would highly recommend you try one. Gusto stock a decent selection of both sweet & savoury goods. I'm yet to try the pies or quiches but they are at the top of my list if I can resist the vanilla slice the next time I call in.
