We are so grateful to have found Brandi at Top Notch Bull Terriers. My husband has always dreamed of a bully of his own. We researched & interviewed many different breeders throughout the States & found Top Notch to be our perfect fit. Brandi was very knowledgeable about the breed, she interviewed us, along with background check & references. We waited on her list for a year & it was worth the wait. We got to watch our puppy grow, she sent photos & videos. Kept us informed as to how our pup was doing! She had complete vet records, AKC papers, let us meet our pups mom & dad, along with the rest of her bully crew. She has such a nice clean & beautiful facility. I could see the love & passion she has for her dogs & this breed. Brandi has always been very attentive in answering any questions that I had & even now 4 years later she's still there! With her knowledge & being a certified vet tech its really worth the listen of her advice. She truly knows the Bull Terrier breed well. We decided to add a 2nd bully into our home & hearts, a year after Rocco we brought Lulu home! Of course we went back to Brandi as our 1st experience was amazing! Now, just last August we did it again & adopted Gus in 2018! Best decisions we have ever made! Brandi has turned us into the largest bully family! We could never repay her for the love & compassion of this breed that she has shown us. We would do it again & highly recommend her. All our babies have been healthy, smart & energetic since day 1. Loved so much by her & now with us. We get so many compliments on how beautiful & fun loving our pups are. They love water & going places with us. Gus is just the icing on the cake too! He's so loving & just the sweetest boy. We had him neutered back in August & he's been quite the companion for our son. Gus loves kids & has turned into a therapy dog for our son. He's packed on some pounds in his new role, a whopping 106lbs, but very healthy guy & the dog father of the bunch. Watching over our son & his new fur siblings. When we got our 1st bully we had money set aside as we knew training was a must being 1st time bully parents. Anyone who gets a Bull Terrier who has never been owned by one should expect training as soon as they have all shots & can be enrolled, no matter what breeder you choose to get your new Bull Terrier puppy from. These dogs are not your average dog & not for everyone. They are very smart, constantly learning & into mischief. They can be a very expensive breed with training classes & getting into things. They love to snatch up a sock when you are not looking, especially as pups they require alot of attention & supervision! They get bundled up energy & love to run, jump & bulldoze you & little ones over. They are bulls in a China shop as they dont realize their own strength & they do break things at times. They really are a 2 year old in a dog suit. Very sneaky breed when you are not looking! If bored, not enough games, walks, training or socializing they can become destructive & territorial. They are definitely not a breed for everyone. But do make a wonderful family dog if you have the patience, time & money for training & socializing! If you are looking for a lazy dog this breed is definitely not for you. If you live a active lifestyle & have lots of patience & time they are the best! Be prepared to see dogs in a whole new way, when a bully enters your heart! We thought since we have owned stubborn breeds before, trained our own dogs, read about bull terriers, watched videos & spoke with others who have bullies that we were ready. Boy did we learn quickly! But we adapted & have the time to spend, play, work & take them places with us. Luckily I am a stay at home mom & our bullies get lots of car rides, training & attention! People joke with us as our dogs go with us everywhere! They are our children just like our son. If they cant go, they stay with Brandi & we are blessed to have that option. No one else would I trust with my bullies & my hearts, just like my son. I dont trust just anyone! This is our full experience & was the best choice & decision for us. I do urge 1st time bully parents to set aside money & prepare for training as these guys are a breed that knows how to push & work you! Even look into pet insurance as they can be expensive if they eat something & get a blockage. They are quick to snatch things & eat before you can pick it up! Hope my review helps with your decision on your new bull terrier puppy & whether this breed is for you or not. If possible spend time with a bully 1st, so you can see what they are about 1st hand. Really that's the best way to get acquainted, over reading & researching the breed, if you can. Good luck on your bully adventure & hold on for the ride of your life! I do hope this breed steals your heart as it truly has ours!! read more
