When we asked how then would we go about getting a price on a job from them, she placed us on hold for 5 minutes. I wasted hours trying to get an appointment scheduled for a pressing plumbing problem. After much…read moreback and forth, an appointment was scheduled for a Monday between 8am and 1 pm. On Monday morning, I called to try to get a more precise time estimate. I was transferred for a "short hold" to the dispatch. After being on hold for several minutes, a recording came on telling me to leave a message and they'd call back. After 45 minutes, I got a call. And the lady on the phone told me that "a mistake has been made and we never scheduled this job." But the person I spoke to TWICE to get the appointment did schedule the job. There was no apology. Just dumb confusion on their end. So I blew off work to wait for these people for a job they set an appoint for but did not "schedule." Then they tried to reschedule me for between one and five PM after screwing this up and wasting hours of my time and costing me money in missed work. I have had trouble with them once before on an electrical job that they came back to fix and that turned out OK after several hours. So I gave them another chance. BIG MISTAKE. My advice? Do NOT use them. They come off as super confused and do not seem to appreciate your valuable time. I have to give one star because zero is not an option. It is so frustrating. Their TV ads are a crock. Just find someone else.

The father, Vern, and his sons are friendly and conscientious. I have many examples of their competency. For example, we recently discovered one morning that our water heater had gone out. Amazingly, one of the sons was out to our house within an hour and by noon time we had a new working water heater. I have read some of the negative reviews about VR, and they seem a little unfair. While there are standard jokes about how much plumbers charge, VR Plumbing's charges seems to be inline with others in the building trades, i.e. electricians, roofers, etc. I read John M's review about Vern being surly, which I think may be a mischaracterization. The family is quiet and private without a lot of hype. What is important is that they are competent and an important part of the Park City business community. I highly recommend them.
