TERRIBLE SERVICE. I called Top Master at 9:45 AM on 02.26.18 and got an original quote for $350 and when I told him I was going to go to another competitor, he said he would only charge $120. At 12:45 PM, he said he was "almost at my location." At 2:30 PM, the same man said he was "walking inside the mall" and told me he would see me in 10 minutes and for having me wait 5 hours he said he give me $20 off the $120. My mother who is 82 years old contacted Top Master Locksmith approximately eight months ago. Her key fell apart and she called to have them come out and either replace or repair a key. For three days they continued to schedule appointments and not show up. On the fourth day she was unable to reach them at all her number had been blocked so she contacted me, her daughter to call and see if I could get through. I called for my mom and asked what the problem was why they were not taking her calls. He assured me that wasn't the case that he would have the mechanic call her immediately. Two hours latter at 11am I called back to ask why no one has contacted her he told me someone would be there between 2-5. Again she waited all day and no one showed up! When she originally made the call for them to come out eight months ago they quoted her price of $150, when they arrived the price changed to $245! read more

Horrible Service! So my husband called a locksmith to come and let him in since the keys were locked in the house. The guy showed up, drilled the locks (never tried to pick them) then charged us $100! And he didn't even drill in the right place the first time! So NOW we have to replace the locks they damaged! Since we were not happy we did make a deal to lower the price. Since they already charged our CC they were supposed to refund us. I called them and gave them my husbands CC#, no refund. My husband has made several attempts to call but the VM is not working. I have tried emailing them and have not gotten a response. We bought a new house in Southern Highlands for my parents-in-law and needed the locks changed. I had originally called Master Lock & Security the day before and after waiting 2 hours, the technician never showed up. It was getting dark and the electricity was shut off in the house so my husband told them he was cancelling the appointment for the day. They had the guts to ask to schedule another appointment and my husband flatly refused. Master Lock & Security had 114 reviews and a 5 star rating on Yelp. I don't know if it was a mishap with the technician or the reviews were fake. So I decided to look for another Locksmith company. I found Top Master Locksmith on Google and they had 61 excellent reviews and it was the closest one to my house. Most of the Locksmiths were in North Las Vegas. I set the appointment at noon the next day and asked the dispatcher to have the technician notify me half an hour before he was one his way to the new house. The technician called me three times at 11:58am, but for some reason, my cell phone did not ring. He texted me also, but I didn't see the message till 12:40pm. I called Top Master Locksmith about my error and they were still able to get the technician to come. They said he would be there in 15 minutes, so I went over to the new house (which is 5 minutes away from me). Jonathan, the tech, showed up at 1:25pm. He was very friendly and even petted my dog, who was barking at him rather menacingly. I showed him the locks that needed to be changed and he set to work right away. He asked me how many keys I wanted and I said 3 and he gave me 4. I tried to tip Jonathan $10, but he refused the tip, asking me to write a review on Google instead. The price was different than was quoted from the dispatcher. I miscalculated 2 locks that needed to be changed, but it was actually 3. Overall, it costs $45 for the technician to come out and $25 per lock to re-key (change the cylinder). Since the price was actually more than I anticipated, Jonathan took off about $10 for the tax and reminded me to write a review. I recommend using these guys to get your locks replaced. Jonathan was professional and congenial. The only reason I deducted a star was because the dispatcher said that the tech would show up in 15 minutes, instead with checking to see where he was before giving me a time. She also quoted me the final price at $75 (for two locks); it was originally $95 minus a $10 discount when I complained it was too expensive, minus $10 for writing a review. I was very satisfied with the service before hearing the price I was being charged, which was 60% higher than what I was quoted over the phone for service. The tech, who was a nice guy and did a good job, could immediately tell that I was schooled with the discrepancy. As this is the first time I have used them, I do not know if they always play fast and loose with their estimates. However if you are calling for a service and ask how much it will cost you it seems only logical to quote a complete price instead of one of several fees that you will be charged with by the end of service. Not being upfront about your prices until the moment your customer is forced to pay is a very dishonest practice in my opinion , and is why I will warning people to not use this company in the future. read more
