First, I love the cool purple color of this corner building. Inside, I wasn't as impressed with their items but that's not to say that they aren't a great store. If you are passionate about "fine previously owned furniture and accessories," then this store is for you. The showrooms were full of slightly used items such as sofas, coffee tables, lamps, mirrors, home décor, dishware, china, candlesticks, etc. The store didn't seem to have one particular style though so the pieces didn't flow or match. Looking past the clashing of patterns the quality seemed to be good as far as the furniture goes. So whether you are a young couple just starting out, a college student or a furniture collector, I don't think you'll be disappointed with the condition they are in. Here's a few examples of what to expect as far as their pricing goes. For a nice living room lamp it was listed at $50. For a classic serving platter, $25. For a framed work of landscape art, on sale, it was listed for $180 down from $250. Lastly, a brown leather couch, that looks as if it could be located in a Psychiatrist's office was priced at $1795. Like most stores around Orlando, they are having a considerable sale. Red tags signify which pieces are marked down and as I traversed through the store I saw a great deal of red. So now might be the time to snag that 80's style painting you've been admiring.

I wandered into this cute little place on the corner of Edgewater and Rugby Street when I was exploring the College Park area one day. It is a consignment shop, offering mostly furnishings for your house (couches, lamps, accessories). They actually have some beautiful stuff here, and it is a great deal cheaper than what you would find in any regular antique furnishing store. The employee when I went in was very friendly and helpful (I was actually just browsing), and they are open until 5pm every day except Sunday. I would definitely recommend checking out Top Drawer for any of your needed antique room furnishings.

Nice stuff at a reasonable price but I saw they were selling real elephant tusks which is cruel and illegal. Shame on you.

I have wanted to stop at Funks every time I drive by and there is quite the buzz about this place. If I were to categorize this store I would have 3 categories - clothing, used games and vintage kitsch. When you walk in they have a very inviting couch and seating area. Near the front are racks and displays of featured items and a display case/checkout area. The store features a lot of vintage t-shirts, sports jerseys and funky hipster clothing. There is a tag color chart which indicates the price of the item. Management knows their merchandise value and items in the front room of the store have been priced at the going used retail prices. The back room has the bulk clothing bins, used gaming items and vintage electronics and some collectibles. I dug through the bins and found some nice items but only one that I liked in my size. I was afraid there was a minimum of a pound charge but instead my item was placed on a scale and I paid the weight divided by $7 a pound. I found a short sleeve top I liked and paid $2.75. So the bulk bins are a bargain if you can find something you like. The service was friendly and efficient. They accept cards and digital payments. I particularly was drawn to the vinyl albums and they looked like quality in their plastic sleeves to protect the covers. I did not check the condition of the vinyl but if you are looking to add to your collection this might be an option.

However, I found the exact same hat (same brand, size, and model) on the official website being sold for $52. This is the regular retail price, not a discounted sale price (photos below). Besides, I bought another thing which the owner didn't know about the price and charged me expensive.

Everything is curated by the couple that owns the shop, Wendy and Marvin, and they are constantly bringing in new stuff. Every trip is like visiting a new, but still super awesome, store. BUT, I do have to say one thing....unfortunately, you cannot take home the shop's lovely and amazing "employee," Carol. She is Marvin's mother, and she is an angel on earth. Really, she is. I visit this store about once every 4 months and she always remembers me; now, we just walk around and chat about all the amazing history and curiosities. I should also say that this place's prices are reasonable. There is another retro furniture store in Orlando, and EoR's prices are nowhere near theirs. They also have vintage clothing, custom hats, and lots of art and decor. Ok, I'll stop. I could go on forever. I'll attach just a few photos of things I have purchased, considering half my home was furnished at Echoes of Retro.

Inside, you'll find the boutique up front with a private event space toward the back, and outside there's plenty of comfy seating that's great for hanging out or hosting an outdoor event. The store has something stylish for everyone...women's, men's, and even baby clothes (the children's section is in the cutest van out back!). The walls are decorated with locally sourced, one-of-a-kind art pieces, and they also sell beautiful homeware. It's one of my favorite places for gifts. Whether it's a gorgeous candle or a custom charm necklace made from their charm bar for permanent jewelry. And the events here? SO much fun! They host the most unique and artsy workshops including floral arranging, vintage candle making, diy perfume and more. I went to a vintage candle class by Nadine with some friends, and we had the best time. They also offer other fun classes like yoga and boxing. You can find all the upcoming events and workshops on their website, and they even rent out the space for private events. It's truly impossible to visit House on Lang and not feel right at home. You'll leave with things you never knew you needed! Christie, the owner, is so friendly and helpful. Definitely ask for her opinion or advice, she has amazing taste. Such a special place, highly recommend checking it out!
