I had researched same day crowns but I found that they were not as strong as the ones that have to be custom made. The temporary crown was very strong and never came off. Dr Castillo fitted it just fine. Today I went back for the permanent crown. I opted to not have any pain killers and I didn't even need them!. Dr. Castillo did a wonderful job and made sure that my bite was correct. He is very meticulous in getting everything just right. Thanks to this dentist office for always taking time to explain everything. I am no longer afraid of going to the dentist!

At intake, the nurse that took my X-rays explained everything and even kept my mind preoccupied by making side conversation and making me laugh. Once I was evaluated and spoke to Dr. Castillo he explained my options and how he would like to proceed. He explained my options and prescribed a heavy antibiotic and stronger pain medication because my infection was severe. After a week of medication, I was scheduled for an extraction and the staff continued to provide the best customer service. The front office kept me calm and the nurse checked on me regularly as I took a sedative for the anxiety. Although I don't remember much of the procedure, the healing process has been easy. I had minimal bleeding, minor pain, and almost back to normal 2 days later. I will continue to visit Dr. Castillo and his staff! I feel so much better about dental visits.

I went to this office for a consultation. I needed a retreatment and a root canal according to the…read morex-rays. The reason I came to this place is because I see that commercial late at night and figured I would give it a try since it's near my home. For me it is important that a office is maintained and that the front desk are friendly. Also, that the DDS makes me feel comfortable and safe. The front desk don't greet and don't say "thank you..." The room I was in had a water leak stain on the ceiling and a light fixture was a bit dangling. The trim of the door was rotten. When the DDS came in, his handshake was soft, LIMP. He doesn't look into the eyes and seems to be bothered by questions. He was probably in the room for under two minutes. The assistant (a sweet young girl) gave me the treatment plan and expressed that the DDS takes about 15 minutes for a root canal. NO THANK YOU. I ended up going to a SPECIALIST (endodontist) for those treatments. For this reason I give this place a low rating.

Dr. Baker explained everything I needed to have corrected which included to crowns on my back lower molars. I had the two crowns finished today and I could not be happier. Excellent dentist and friendly staff. The dental assistant had the most calming voice that helped me considerably, since dental procedures tend to make me nervous. I'm also always seen on time and the office promptly billed my insurance. If you want a dentist with years of experience, I highly recommend Dr. Baker.

I currently have one child in braces, and what used to take about 20 minutes somehow turned into a two-hour appointment this time. When I asked the front staff for an update, they responded with attitude and absolutely no effort to actually check what was going on. The front lobby staff are consistently rude, dismissive, and condescending. Every visit, I watch them talk down to clients, embarrass people about payments in front of the entire lobby, and accuse families of being behind--only to be proven wrong when the client shows screenshots of their payment. It seems like their system doesn't update fast, but instead of handling it respectfully, they immediately assume the worst and berate people. It's unprofessional and uncomfortable to witness. As for why my son's appointment took so long? They had to remove and reinstall four brackets because they "weren't aligned correctly." Having to redo multiple brackets less than a year into treatment doesn't sound normal. I don't understand why they don't communicate the procedure with the parents before they proceed on doing something like this. The removal was painful for my son, they pried the brackets off without dissolving the adhesive and then spent almost an hour drilling away leftover glue. It makes me question whether they even put them on correctly in the first place. Their prices might look a little cheaper upfront, but trust me--the lack of professionalism, rude staff, long wait times, and questionable quality of work make it absolutely not worth it. I'm taking my business elsewhere, and I recommend other parents think twice before choosing this place.

July, I received a statement from a credit company where The lake Family Dental made a credit card under my name for a total of $8,000 and payment was due. I called both offices, I was told that is how they work. I am paying $280 monthly. By October my Dentures came in. They were painful to use so they asked me to come the next day. I shared I WAS NOT happy with them; the teeth were so little. I kept telling Dr. Alvarado my concerns, but he was so rude telling me the teeth look good for women my age and I needed to get a facelift or fillers. He questioned me why I wanted such big buck teeth. I kept saying I was unhappy with the dentures, he just kept arguing and persisting. I didn't know what to do so I put my head down, crying, wanted to walk out of the room, but I wouldn't have teeth. After a while Dr Alvarado said OK if you want big buck teeth, I will make them SO BIG so everyone can see what you wanted. He made me feel so bad I cried and that is when he stopped yelling at me. They said they would only fix the top ones, not the bottom ones. The Bottom ones have a metal bar in them that can't get adjusted, so that is what causes pain/discomfort. When I went to pick up the dentures I spoke to the Finance person, before going to the room and told her how the Doctor had treated me and that I dissatisfied with the teeth. She called in a manger where they tried to convince me the Doctor is in a lot of stress/frustration. I told her he still doesn't have the right to speak to me the way he had. The tech in the room was the same as before and stated everything was true. January my dentures came in, and they made me sign a paper they are not going to replace/adjust them. I have not used them since because they are painful and I am too scared to return. I am still paying $280 monthly and using my old dentures. I have never experienced this.
