Business's often wonder why customers leave. Sometimes it's not what you say but it's how you say it, tonality is everything! As a business owner you have the right to dictate how business is conducted in your establishment. However, to berate me for being on my phone because, you felt it was rude is unacceptable. The irony was you had no idea what I dealing with on other the end. After I advised you I was going to take my business somewhere else, you told me to go FCk myself. There is that saying in business, you have a good experience you tell ten people however, you have a bad experience you tell over a hundred. The owner overcharged me substantially for a simple alteration. I'd asked for a pair of $200 dress pants to be hemmed, for the waist to be expanded a little and to add 6 buttons for suspenders; the total after taxes came to $53! This was not a rush job either - the pants were dropped off on Friday afternoon and were ready for pick up on Monday in the late afternoon. I'd dropped off the pants earlier, and because the owner wasn't in, I had to come back a few hours later to get a quote. The alterations were done competently. My advice: go anywhere else for a cheaper price point and the same level of service. Lesson learned! read more

I've used this place for years because it's so convenient to my home, but have stopped as of today because the owner not only cheated me out of 15 cents, but was angry and confrontational when I pointed out he was doing so. I brought in a single shirt last week and asked the price because it's never indicated on the receipt. He said it was $3.95 and, with tax, $4.58, which would be rounded to $4.60. I picked the shirt up today. I pointed out to him that his arithmetic was off because the tax on $3.95 was $0.52 so the total should be $4.47, which would be rounded to $4.45. The owner got very angry and said I was failing to take into account the $0.12 charge - which he had never mentioned. At first he claimed this charge was for using a credit card. I pointed out that credit card companies forbid merchants from charging for using a credit card. And besides I was paying cash. Then he said the extra charge was a transaction charge or a service charge just like hydro and gas impose. Then he gave me a receipt - which showed no breakdown - just a total of $4.58. I asked him if he really wanted to lose a customer over $0.15. He shouted I was free to go where I wanted. I've always found the owner an unpleasant, abrupt, very angry man. I was willing to put up with it because the store is so convenient. But being cheated and lied to over $0.15 is just a bit too much for the sake of convenience. read more

Excellent service. I asked for an alteration to be done on my expensive tux I recently bought at Strellson and the owner did a very good job. Very precise with measurements and well qualified and experienced, wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

I agree. The owner overcharges his price. He will quote you for a price and when you come to pay he will give you a much higher price. This is not how you do business. read more
