As far as the installation of the metal roof, (though the quality of the product was very good from Tri County Metals) they must have picked up workers off the street with no knowledge of metal roofing as you can see from the pictures. They couldn't butt ends together, crimp edges or corners, or fixed the corner to match the roof line without pounding the heck out of it which in turn made the facia ripple along the side of the house. They fixed mistakes with clear caulking and spray paint. The final inspection was done by a very nasty guy named Tim. He never introduced himself but we saw a guy walking around the house so we went out to introduce ourselves and he wouldn't talk to us. He even told my husband that he had a slang word for people like us who complain because we pay so much money for a metal roof and have high expectations! Well Tim that's your job and your company's job. Maybe start by getting retraining so you know how to hire qualified metal roofers. Our neighbor right next door to us had a metal roof installed and it looks great they hired a local contractor got the same roofing materials from Tri County Metals the only difference was the metal roof installers.

I lost a lot of shingles and had other pieces missing. They gave me a reasonable estimate, as compared to other local roofers. I gave them the go ahead, and the roof was completed in a couple of weeks. It looks fantastic and they included a wind mitigation inspection to help me get the insurance credits. Always a smile & a wave but they worked steadily (couldn't tell if they ever went on break or took lunch). This impressed me--the supervisor saw the city trash truck coming & pulled our trash container out where the truck could get at it easily. They also made sure that the mailbox was not blocked. I have never seen companies do this before. I also haven't seen a company where you didn't give a down payment & you paid at the end. They pay for the wind mitigation as well. The work took 2 days. One thing--it was 6 months from the paperwork to beginning because customer waiting list (they informed us about this but this was to be expected). The good news is that the customer is locked in at the price at that time (no unexpected "surprises" at the end. Hope this review helps anybody & that they get the same results like I did.
