Decor is just what you expect from a local Chinese restaurant, seating is cosy and clean, toilets the same. The Wonton soup was hearty. Lots of meat and wontons and very flavorful. Spring rolls nothing special, but good. Special Fried Rice and Chicken Chow Mein was delicious. Quantity was good for 4 people, but tasted so good we could have had more. Service was friendly, but a little slow. Not from lack of effort, just needed maybe 1 more server. Reasonable price at $60/couple which included bottle of wine, a beer and tea. Host was very friendly and gracious - a real nice bloke! All in all a good experience and we will be back.

What a great addition to casual dining and entertainment on the Sunshine Coast. The food is…read moreshareable, delicious and the drinks menu is solid. The deli offerings look super fresh and I think you can get takeaway for lunch too. Live entertainment on Friday nights is a bonus... When we visited there was a guy playing the piano and guitar (not at the same time... that would be something!) for sets and it really added to the atmosphere. Of course, it's always a trap as I love live entertainment in bistros but it is inevitably too loud to continue a conversation (oh dear, sounding like Mother). This definitely wasn't the worst I've experienced, it was managable, but if you are looking for somewhere to have a big download with a girlfriend then maybe choose a seat a little away from the speakers. Service was really friendly and attentive. The perfect place for Friday night drinks or a lunch mid-week.

I didn't want it to end, so I bought another one. It would have been better for my pocket to have bought two scoops for $6.40, as one scoop was $4.40. But, I didn't know it was going to be this good. And on a waffle cone, it made my day. The customer service is superb. They are so friendly and welcoming. They also sell all sorts of cheeses if you're interested. A beautiful café in a small town. I would take a drive back here. It's totally worth it.

There are plenty of dairy-free flavors, despite Maleny's notoriety for dairy farming. Besides gelato, the place does also offer a cafe menu and various jarred food items for sale, but I suspect most people will be looking first for the fresh mountain ice cream, and it does taste as creamy as one might hope.
