I had my son's 18th birthday cake made by this bakery last week. It was iced with fresh cream but…read moreby the time I collected it, the cream was yellowing and had obviously been refrigerated for at least a couple of days. I specifically stated that the cake was for an 18 year old male yet it was decorated with hundreds and thousands! The colour from those hundreds and thousands had run into the cream - another hint that the cake had been made a long time before I collected it. The box was not large enough for the height of the cake so some of the jam and cream was stuck to the inside of the box lid. I had to carry the cake back to my car with the lid propped open so as not to damage the top of the cake further. I was very disappointed with the presentation of the cake - given that it cost me $20 (for a small cake). I had hoped that it would taste better than it looked but unfortunately I was further disappointed. The cake was dry and the cream definitely tasted as though it had been refrigerated for a couple of days. This bakery has recently changed hands and I regret to say that the new owners have a lot to learn. But they have lost me as a long-term customer.
