Rather than any single stop, the real takeaway was Montreal's character itself: its diversity, inclusion, multicultural fabric, and rich history. Our guide, Pax, embodied those qualities--knowledgeable, communicative, and genuinely pleasant--making the 4.5 hours fly by. At the start and finish, Danny (the owner/manager) personally fitted our bikes and checked in afterward, offering extra tips to help everyone make the most of their Montreal visit. Absolutely a must for a first visit in Montreal, highly recommend taking one of their tours, preferably both!

We called several tour companies with no luck for availability. We saw a review for Andre and gave him a call. What a stroke of luck. Not only did we set up a tour for Monday in Old Montreal with Andre, but he also set us up with a guide (Marie) for that afternoon in Old Quebec City. Both were very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the history of the area. Walking through Old Quebec City was like walking back in history. The tour with Marie was a great way to experience Old Quebec City for the first time. We had been to Old Montreal before, but see it through Andre's eye was something else. As other reviewers have pointed out, Andre is a fountain of knowledge, but what is more is that he is extremely proud of his city's heritage. He is also a fabulous host for his city. He knew we were interested in finding vegan restaurants so after the tour he texted us information on vegan restaurants. Later that night he even made reservations for us at a fantastic restaurant were we made a great friend in Andre's baby, his rescued German Shepard. Oh and I dare say we made friends with Andre too :) Thank you for a great experience!

Highly recommend!!!

I'm going to go with other reviewers on this one... the land tour was congested and we saw more on foot. It was good (not great). Going in the water was cool and you did see a lot of features including a cruise boat, the city skyline, the Expo 67 condos (weird architecture), the spa, and several other areas. Difficult to find! They need more signage for sure. I walked all over trying to find it. Its actually in a small tent on the street. However that being said its not very popular and we were able to walk on (after purchasing tickets) on a Saturday for the next ride. The tour guide was OK. It was both in French and English. Overall I'm glad we did this! Perhaps if the city streets weren't as busy they could plan a better route and go down near Jacques-Cartier Place where the La Grande Roue and clock tower was and some of the town halls, churches were.

If you can find it buried amongst the surprisingly quiet confines of the Dominion Square Building in downtown Montréal, the Centre Infotouriste de Montréal is an awesome way to plan a trip. This place isn't just for tourists. Visitors and Québécois alike will find plenty of brochures for places to go throughout Québec. The centre is definitely living up to its current theme is Québec Original (unsurprisingly translated to "Original Québec"): Maps and brochures for towns and regions throughout the Province; activity-specific locales (e.g., skiing), and kid-friendly trips. We came here as it is the pickup spot for what was an excellent Québec City and Montmorency Falls day tour. It's also the hub for several Montréal city tours (Gray Line of Montréal, Coach Canada, Double Decker, etc.). While awaiting our bus, Centre Infotouriste de Montréal gives you plenty to check out. Also: if you want to do a day trip or city tour and you haven't signed up for one, their staff can help you out! The staff can help out on almost any Québec-related travel you may want to do. The place itself is dynamic ... great artwork, murals, and displays. There's free WiFi, tablet, and computer access, which are always welcome. And lest we forget, Centre Infotouriste de Montréal serves, in part, as a gift shop ... and it's hard to do better than what I'm guessing is the biggest tourist info center in all of Québec! Whether staying exclusively in Montréal or venturing throughout Québec, I can't think of a better place to start than here!
