We did the mural tour, and Rufus was a fantastic guide! The murals in Montreal are amazing. We learned a lot about graffiti and I now have a true appreciation of the art form! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon!

Classic Montréal mural -- our guide explained why.

This was a fabulous way to see Montréal murals! I saw them while walking through the city and wanted to learn more. The mural tour with Pasquale brought them to life! We learned about the history of the murals, the artists, and the surrounding neighborhood. The two hours flew by. The "insider guide" you get at the end was itself worth the ticket price. Highly recommend!

We went on a wall art/murals tour in Montreal. Our guide Rodrigo was amazing, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about the material. He also had maps and a bonus guide to the city with his picks for the city. We booked through viator and we were so glad we took this tour, Rodrigo really made it memorable.

This city REALLY loves Leonard Cohen.

Fantastic way to see the real city. So charming! Amelie was a wonderful tour guide. This is the best way to start your visit to Montreal!

We did the Beyond The Market tour, and it was fantastic. Our guide Marie was engaging, fun, well organized, and extremely knowledgeable. We loved getting to learn about culture and histories of different communities, and getting to experience eating like a local in Montreal!

Easily the best part of our trip to Montreal. Anne Marie (our guide; also a co-owner of the business) was fantastic. She took us to 7 different places, including some "off the beaten path" places you wouldn't ever find if you weren't in the know. I don't want to spoil the tour, but I can say this - you will leave the tour with a belly full of food and a much deeper love for Montreal than you started with! An excellent value and a fabulous way to spend a few hours!!!

Our family of 4 took the afternoon Mural tour with Anne-Marie. Anne-Marie was super knowledgeable about the subject matter, from the artist bios to the history of Montreal's Mural festival and the city in general, and our boys (12 and 15) were rapt throughout. As a finishing touch, we received a local recommendation sheet and have already enjoyed some of the establishments therein.

Gabriela was awesome. Saw so much of the city that we would have not even thought about visiting.

Frederick, our guide, took eight of us over a 7 mile tour of some of the classic neighborhoods of Montreal. His love for his hometown truly shines. We took about three hours because he made a point of showing us some classic Montreal native spots such as an immense farmers market filled with luscious locally grow produce. If we were staying long enough to cook, I'd be heading straight back there tomorrow . Frederick is a certified guide and while his knowledge is near encyclopedic, he never drones. He always invites questions and made us laugh a lot. Ask him how poutine got its name. He created a perfect blend of peddling and savoring He spaced out our rest stops in such a way that we were never bored with resting and nor fatigued with pedaling.

The day felt impossibly wide. I had a great time with Frederic, who told stories while we immersed ourselves in Montreal's history. The handmade bagels were the best--so good that I could have enjoyed them without cream cheese. The three hours flew by and the route was wonderfully flat. Their location is ideal, right next to a cafe where you can grab coffee and a snack before or afterwards.

Got the Indie coffee passport and Allo Vélo was one of the participating coffee shops…read more It is essentially a bike shop that serves coffee. Surprisingly, the coffee is amazing. Compared to a lot of new coffee shops brewing new wave coffee beans that tend to me more fruity and acidic, this one brews old school italian coffee. This gives a much richer and round coffee with chocolate and nut flavor which I love. No art foam on their coffee but who cares, just simple good coffee at its best. Super cool bike shop for cycling fanatics! Beware, they are closed on Monday!

I held off on a negative review for nearly a year, giving the benefit of the doubt. I purchased a Schindelhauer bike from them and the online payment system calculated purchase and shipping (great price). This was a mistake with the payment system and I called the next day and we figured out shipping. The bike arrived damaged unfortunately. I took dozens of photos and tried to submit to ups directly. Unfortunately a damage claim has to be submitted by the shipper. This involved UPS and a shipping company they use called freightcom. Velo lifestyles blamed freightcom, so I reached out to freightcom.... They blamed velo... you see where this is going. Keep in mind this is nearly a year into this! I had an unusable bike until the manufacturer actually sent me a fender to mount. I originally had tried to bend the damage away from the tire to make the bike usable. I give credit to Schindelhauer for providing the part... it really wasn't their issue. Velo put it off so long I emailed Germany and got it myself! They now claim that they no longer ship to the United States due to shipping issues. I would avoid purchasing from this company due to a shady handling of the shipping claim. They seem nice on the phone and might be a good option if you pick up in person. I can speak to my experience with them. I would avoid any business that won't support their customers or stand behind a sale.

He's pretty open and will meet you pretty much anywhere. Marko's style: Marko is awesome. All you need to know! But seriously - Marko is a local photographer who's really enthusiastic about his craft and this comes through in his teaching style. He's incredibly patient and can easily adapt his style based on the level of knowledge of those partaking in his photo walks. The walks typically last about 2-2.5 hours and throughout, Marko will often stop to offer up tips and tricks, whether these be about exposure, composition, lighting or how to frame a shot in a unique way. I've been practicing photography for about twenty years and I totally left this walk with some new knowledge under my belt, and a renewed I desire to get back to SLR. Marko really knows his stuff and I plan to do a 1:1 with him when it's warmer. Ok, a LOT warmer! Verdict: If you're newbie looking to learn about photography, or a seasoned pro looking to hone your craft, Marko will cater to your level, and you'll walk away knowing it was money well-spent.

This morning I woke up pinching myself to test and see if it was all just a dream, or if we had really experienced such an incredible time. I am the primary family photographer; my husband is a fully functional photographer, loves to learn and was happy to join me in the adventure. Marko began with a 30-minute clear, easy-to-follow mini-lecture on basic exposure and camera techniques. While most of this was not new to me, it was good to hear it stated in such a clear, concise way. Then...the tour. Oh...my goodness! Marko totally not only knows photography...he knows how to TEACH photography. And Marko knows Montreal! He is an instructor who is keenly aware of just the right pace, suggestions, critique, and encouragement his students need. He has more love and enthusiasm for what he does than should be legal! If you spend a couple of hours with Marko and your heart for photography hasn't grown five times bigger...you may want to take your pulse to check if you HAVE a heart. Whether you are a beginner, or feel like you have a fairly good grasp on basic photography, exposure, composition, etc. - this is a tour that will change the way you use your camera as well as change the way you see your world. Marko is an experienced, professional, and excellent photographer - and an energetic teacher and coach. To top it all off...this morning I had an email from Marko with links to TWO of his e-books. They are both excellent and are filled with photographs taken by Marko. Exposure Exposed is 100 pages of pictures and easy to follow instructions, tips, and clearly explained techniques. These just add to the treasure! Our day ended with our heads and hearts full - and with the joy of having made a new friend. Thanks, Marko!
