It really has that man place style atmosphere. I had a cut and beard trim in one of the barber stations and was happy with the cut. It passed the wife test even. Marx was my barber and I recommend him. He did an excellent job. Was a little surprised with the prices. A little on the pricy side for a barber shop. $23 for the cut and $8-$11 for the beard trim. (I assume that's based on length?) so that's the reason for the 4 stars out of 5. But my overall experience was great.

At Uptown Barbers, you will be greeted by name the second you walk in. They knew my name after only 1 visit. If you're a few minutes early, they will get you a cup of coffee while you relax in their comfy, plush chairs. John in stool #2 is always good for a quick laugh, Joe in the corner might bend your ear about some of boxing's all time greats. Everyone is very pleasant. It truly has the look and feel of the old-time barbershops. Debbi does my haircut and occasional shave. She's always good for her honest opinion on what looks best for you. Expect hot shaving cream on the neck !!! Sooooo nice!!! They finish the job with a hot towel on your face, which might put to sleep because your comfort level kicks into high gear!! Month or two later, back in the area one morning, see the front door standing open, I need a cut, I try to pop in again. Now this was only the second time I had been there, I didn't know their hours of operation, I figured, door open, store open. So when I walk in there's a small man cutting hair. He looks at me, and I ask if it's ok to do a walk-in....seemed reasonable. He then explains to me, like I was just dropped off by the short bus outside, how they're not open yet. He does offer to make me an appointment, but is rude the entire time. I make the reservation for later in the day, but an appointment prevents me from making it, and I have to say, I wasn't too broke up about it. Several months go by. I need a cut, and decide to give them another shot. This time I'll save myself the blood pressure boost, and call ahead for an appointment first. So I call, same rude M**F answers the phone. He first just seems extremely inconvenienced at having had to answer the phone. But then he's just such a.....well you know. He starts asking me about the type of cut I want, I tell him I just want a regular haircut. He asks me who I want to cut my hair, and has such a condescending tone, as if I should know the names of every barber that works there. I didn't know the name of the girl that cut my hair the first time until I went to their website to look up their info to post here. Needless to say, I made an appointment, but never went because after I got off the phone, I was convinced that if I went there and had to talk to that D**K I would go to jail. Bottom line, I had a decent cut by Debbi once, and krappy staff (the same guy) ruined the rest for me. It's a shame, Debbi was extremely nice and friendly while I was there, the even have this membership deal I was thinking of doing for my family after I left the first time. This is easily the best Barber Shop in Colerain Township... It's definitely one of the top 3 in…read moreshops in Cincinnati... Probably #1 in terms of white hair... All the barbers are skilled professionals and you can guarantee a good haircut in any chair you sit down in. With one chair in particular actually better than the rest and that's "Son's" chair on the end farthest from the front door. His attention to detail is what sets him apart. He covers ever aspect including eyebrows, nose hairs, straight razor on neck hair and line up. The only down side is the wait which is typically an hour due to Son's popularity... However if you're in a hurry I be recommend "Chris" who has mastered the skill of being quick and still providing a good haircut... But no matter whom you choose you'll have a great experience and more than likely become a regular !!!!
