WOW! This was an excellent experience. I had some nagging questions about a legal matter that should have been resolved last year. I began my search for an attorney through yelp. I requested advice from 3 local attorneys including Tony. I also asked my friends and family for recommendations. A close friend of mine recommended that I reach out to Tony. After sending a message online I immediately received an invite to talk by phone. We made plans to meet that same day and review my documents. Tony took the time to read over my documents and carefully consider my legal options. For a modest fee we spent 1 hour discussing in detail what I could do to resolve the matter. His advice provided a clear path to a resolution. His advice was simple, concise and direct. Thank you Tony. Your services will be recommend to all my friends and family. read more

This guy is not an attorney and knows absolutely nothing about being an attorney. He says he's going to do something and never ends up doing it and when you question him if he's done what was suppose to be done he says "oh I've made a mistake but I'm human we all make mistakes". He will just take your money and will ask for $500 monthly payments. He will do absolutely NOTHING for your case. He will tell you that you have a very good case and when it comes to court he says nothing to defend or correspond to the judge. After seeing the state bar, this guy has several law suits against him. Please do not hire him to represent you, he is making you waste your time and money and does not care one bit. I still don't understand how he hasn't had his license taken away. Terrible person Mr. Escareño! read more

We've been ghosted would love to know why and what's going on. We were given high expectations and nothing has changed at all for months. My fam paid over 3k for his service and nothing. Please stop ignoring our calls and if this task is too much to handle at least let us know. Don't just ignore contact. read more

Tony, steals your money thousands of dollars, won't answer the phone his cell phone nor his office phone. He, promised he'd call me back which never happened and never emailed things he said he would. I call and I just get the voicemail no answer. He's, an independent lawyer so he works alone. He, said he'd email paperwork and file things he never did a damn thing but steals from his clients which I was like this man needs to get his license of being a lawyer and or practicing the law. I'm, not the first person for Tony to steal thousands of dollars from me it's happen to other people as well it's not ok. Speak up, report, call the state bar and don't hire this man he's no help. If, I could give him zero stars that's what it would be. read more

Every case is different but in my experience, Mr. Escareno was very reasonable with the pricing and not like other attorneys that are expensive and ask for all money up front, He assisted to all the court hearings and not once he failed to answer my questions or phone calls. I was very satisfied with the outcome of my case. I been recommending him for the past 5 years to my friends and family and all have been satisfied with his services. read more

If you want an attorney to screw you over, then hire Tony. He does a great job of letting his clients down and losing their cases and money. I filed a complaint with the BAR for unethical behavior, which I have evidence of in emails; I hope they put him out of business so he can no longer ruin people's lives. read more

Attorney Tony Escareno charged me twice as much as my 1st lawyer. Not once did he attend court punctually. At the end of the litigation he did not provide me with any documents. Therein, 6 months I kindly left messages and called him for them. He never had the courtesy of returning the calls. I had to order the documents from the county myself. Do not recommend this lawyer to anyone. read more

Tony Escareño did a great job and really helped me through the legal battle to get visitations with my son, who I had not been allowed to visit for over three years. I can't thank Tony enough. I trust Tony - he is a straight shooter and he is fair. He understands what parents, who are not being treated fairly, really need help with. read more

Tony Escareño - Me and my son :) - Divorce & Family Law Near Me - Watsonville, California

Antonio Escareño is the worst lawyer. He took my money 7 months ago, and never filed the divorce agreement as he was supposed to do. I gave him Initial money and then every time at his office he received $100. 5 months later, because he did not answer my emails, I went to the Monterey Court to see the status, and found out he was never my lawyer and the agreement was not there. Surprisingly, he never worked on my case. I can't believe what he did to me as an attorney with an active license. He never refund the money but sent the useless agreement via mail which was not even on a legal format (with no money back). He was very gentle, and nice person. I always wonder why he did not have an assistant as the other lawyers I visited during the most difficult time in my life. He never gane me a receipt for the money I payed. Really scary. When you look for a lawyer, you think you find the right person to cover your back. However, this time was a big mistake. Never trust his nice personality. read more

If I could give this lawyer zero stars I would. He is a dishonest lawyer who took my family's money with no services rendered. Will not respond to our phone calls and has literally ignored us. NOT RECOMMENDED. read more

Run, he will claim to do a flat fee, won't give you a contract and then finally after multiple request He will add crazy for a bitch on it. Be careful read the contract and don't give them any money until you feel then what he wrote is fair in which it's not. Be very careful. He will then ghost you not show up to court and use excuse after excuse. He has all kinds of cases against him now and Monterey Superior court Santa Cruz Superior Court as well as with the state board. All I say is run. He has a very easy-going way of talking to people that's for sure. read more

Worthless, don't waste your precious time, nor your money. He is never available, to answer your questions, in 3 court hearing he showed up 2 times, over 45 minutes late on the 3 over 1hr late and didn't even make it the hearing was over before he showed , I had to represent myself even though I was paying Mr. Escareño. Never prepares for a case, was looking over my notes. Never gave me any of the court orders, I had to pick them up myself from the court house. Because if his incompetence he Made me loose precious time with my daughter. I fired him because of his unethical practices and his incompetence in court. I did much better with out him.

I think Mr. Escaraneo is an excellent attorney who is on point and practices law with integrity. Integrity matters to me a lot and Mr. Escareno has it. He listened carefully to my concerns and was responsive to my calls. I surveyed most of the Family Law attorney in Santa Cruz County and find Mr. Escareno to be one of the best (and reasonably priced). I think it's essential to note he had experience with Judge Marigonda for many years before Judge Marigonda took over for Judge Almquist. read more

Where do I begin. Child custody and divorce on domestic violence charges. From day one Tony Escareno showed patience, compassion and most importantly guidance. He is highly respected by the judges in the county and he pays the same respect to them. That speaks volumes. Under the pressure and challenges you face in these very difficult times I trusted Tony Escareno with difficult decisions when emotions can become a barrier. I respect Tony Escareno for having the best interest of the client and not holding back to guide you to the best possible outcome that would impact you and your family. He certainly speaks from experience and has your best interest. One of his most valuable qualities is his strategy on where to place your energy. Excellent attorney. read more
