I would not have been surprised to see someone waiting with a caged live chicken. I waited, and waited, and waited and finally was shown into a private room. The nurses were very polite and friendly. They put me at ease at once, reassuring me that Dr. Guzman was a great doctor. I finally saw Dr. Guzman 1/2 an hour after my scheduled appointment but the wait was worth it. Dr. Guzman is really nice and professional. She looks into your eyes when you speak to her and asks questions about your specific health concerns. She listens and takes action. In my single 20 min visit I walked away with a thorough physical exam, two referrals, and a follow up appointment in hand. These referrals were people she knew and highly recommended. The wait and the environment is a little challenging but the quality of care and resources available are awesome when you see Dr. Guzman. She is in the business of helping people and finding the best medical treatment possible. I am totally impressed with her office and level of concern and care. At One Medical in Brickell you're welcomed into an open living room setting by Bri and Eliza who are both super friendly and professional. Don't get too comfy in the waiting room because you'll be taken on time (in my case they took me early.) And it wasn't a nurse or assistant who came out to greet me. It was the doctor herself. Dr. Rosie Singh is awesome. Friendly, knowledgable, compassionate, very easy to talk with. She explained a medical condition better than the specialist who treated me. for it. She gave me around 30 minutes of her undivided attention (unlike a previous primary care physician who breezed in and out of the examining room in minutes!) Her follow up was same day. I went to have my lab work done after my physical and waited less than five minutes to be seen (I went on a weekday morning.) Adriana took my blood sample and was a gentle pro (despite my uncooperative veins!) Plus, my lab results were ready the very next day complete with Dr Singh's comments. Every inch of the office is immaculate. This is not your typical doctor's office visit. While I hope I don't have to visit frequently, it will be a pleasure to return to One Medical.

I ended up switching doctors based on reviews I read about Dr. Jacqueline Ramirez. Mostly what convinced me was her attitude. I'm a big believer in doctors caring about their patients and not treating them like a number and she fits the bill. She's a bit different than doctors I'm used to. She has a D.O. rather than an M.D. and admittedly that made me hesitant, but meeting her and being attended by her changed that. I have never felt so comfortable with a primary physician. It felt like talking to a friend, and when I went back to get lab work results, I ended up seeing another doctor at this office and it's the same feeling. You cannot go wrong at this office. At least with the doctors. Very humane, very willing to help. The only reason I give four stars instead of five is because I had to call LabCorp for being billed inappropriately.
