I had done my own taxes on turbo tax for the previous 9 years but had decided to go to a "pro" to maybe help find more deductions to lower my tax bill. She "advised" I set my new business was up as an S-Corp to get the most tax breaks and walked me through the processes of setting up this new business. As the rest of the reviews state, I received outlandish $2000 invoices in the beginning and was told "they will go down in time as we get things streamlined". So for the next 9 months I continued to get these crazy invoices monthly. In total over 9 months I paid over $13,000 bucks and to be honest my finances are in more disarray than they have ever been. ALOT of the line items in the invoices were for crazy charges, like if you send her an email with a short question you might get dinged for an hour worth of time for her to give you a 10 word reply. Charge for reading email, charge for "processing" email, charge for "adding to agenda the emails question" and a charge for "processing working papers" all from one simple email question. This happened over and over until I'd finally had enough and new something was not right. So I sought out a second and third opinion, showed 2 other accountants my CAS "invoices" and both had the same answer "I advise you immediately cut ties with CAS and pull all your files from her business, that's NOT how accountants are supposed to work". So when I did ask her for all my files back, I got a real nice $1000 ending invoice.....I paid it just to be done with her business. But yeah unless your business is generating a half million or more a year I would definately not sign up with this business. Hopefully my financial error can help some one else not make the same mistake. Don't get me wrong, she is a real nice lady. Just not the best CPA business practices are followed at her place. Oh yeah and when the end came, I tried disputing my last invoice. I sent her 3 emails trying to come to a compromise and got nothing back from her. So I finally just paid the last bill so we wouldn't end up in court, thanked her for her service, and washed my hands clean.....sometimes we make mistakes just have to learn them:) Hope this helps.

It would be also a good idea to ask for a written estimate of the bill before letting them work for you. I used their service for one issue, they did a reasonable job, so I sent them the next year's tax return preparation with some international complications. Only thing I heard from them was they needed to do some research, before handing me a bill for several thousand dollars for a single year's tax return. Perhaps it was my fault that I didn't ask for a quote first but frankly I didn't expect a bill for tax preparation could be more than a few hundred bucks. If they didn't know how to handle certain things and had to research them, I'd expect either (1) they did it on their dime since they didn't know how to do their job, or (2) at least they should have first asked me that they were about to spend thousands of dollars of my money to study up on the issue and if that was okay with me. If you want to hire so-so CPAs and pay them through your nose, go ahead and hire this firm. Otherwise, I'm sure there are much better and cost-effective service firms you can retain somewhere else. Another personal issue for me was, I never got the impression that they had any respect for me as a customer. They went from being merely polite to quite rude very quickly once I complained about the unexpectedly high charge. Obviously, money matters much more to them than building long term relationships with customers. I'm glad my business with them is done. Hopefully, I won't have to deal with them again.

From the beginning I had nothing but problems it took two weeks to efile my return after several attempts it finally went through but due to a filing error on the part of my accountant (Wrong address input) all mail from revenue canada did not find me, so they put a stop payment on my Childtax benefit for the month of November, When I requested my money back from Soprovich and company I was refused and told that the error had been fixed, that an associate had contacted revenue canada and I would recieve my payment the next day, which did not occur, I am a single parent on a very fixed budget, I have a child with disabilities and I need this childtax desperately. I work two jobs and barely make ends meet without my childtax, because of this error all my bills are unpaid and preauthorized payments are bounced which will cost me NSF charges. Might I suggest a different accounting firm.
