Two cocktails with garnishes are placed on a wooden table in a dimly lit environment, with a person in dark clothing sitting behind them.

Third stop and third cocktail of the night. The darkest place so far. One bartender managing everything. Pretty empty and 4 seats available at the bar - with a Reserved sign. I hate that. The freedom to spontaneously drop in at your favorite establishment is one of life's simple pleasures for many, an energy that can be stifled with reservations We were told we could have any seat in the mostly empty bar. We chose a large table. Oh said barman I'll have to move you if a big group comes in. Oh said we, then we will move sensibly to a table for two. The cocktails were good. We had an Ardent Autumn and a False Dawn. I think about $18 each. We left 45 minutes later, we watched other people turned away from the bar seats but no -one came in and neither did any large groups......but they might have! Awkward service indeed as others have pointed out. Our least favorite place on the expensive Sante Fe cocktail trail.

Great cocktails and an amazing bartender! It's a beautiful setting with jazz music - great for our night cap!

Made from the a thought - A wine glass filled with white wine and a glass of water are placed on a wooden table in a bar with patrons and bartenders in the background.

Located downtown Santa Fe near the plaza. Except for the small sign I would it have known it was there. It you are looking for an awesome atmosphere this is place is it. I think the inside is amazing. Seems this is the place to stop after 9. Kind of on the expensive side, but that is expected in Santa Fe. Waiter was nice enough to get a spit as soon as it became open. I had some French onion soup and It was actually really good. I would come back just for the atmosphere here

Sand of Arrakis - A cocktail in a coupe glass with a pineapple ring garnish sits on a wooden table near a window, with water glasses nearby.

We came into Tonic as a party of 3 at 7:30 PM on Friday. We were seated instantly, and we got to admiring their cocktail names on their menu! I ordered the Cactus Coke (tequila + ginger + moroccan spices) for myself which was great. The moroccan spices left a wonderful aftertaste, and this was bubbly and bright. The absolute must try cocktail is the one named after Dune, the Sand of Arrakis. This was the most unique cocktail we had on the trip. While it wasn't mine, this is what I would have ordered next. We enjoyed our time here. Their craft cocktails are excellent here, and they have a lot of promise. I would love to return!

Gorgeous light fixtures! - A chandelier illuminates a bar interior with a decorative balcony, shelves of bottles, and pendant lighting, creating a cozy atmosphere.

Can I give it a 10? Trying to find this place via GPS is crazy! When you walk up thru a small alley (not a scary alley), it's like walking thru a courtyard. The place is small and quaint and I was super excited to try the cocktails! Myrna Loy had my attention and it did not disappoint, maybe that's why I had 3? The menu is small, but I love that! Their special was Bison steak tartare, holy crap was that the most amazing and buttery tasting meat! It was served with toast points and it was so perfect! Fries were also a go to, they were so crispy and so yummy! Served with a dill mayo and some sort of tomato sauce (not ketchup). Yeah! Then the double cheeseburger with avocado and green chile, served on an English muffin.... Now let me tell you, the cheese was so meaty and so good.... Perfection! Two thumbs up!

Bad drinks , rude service and overpriced. Tons of better places in Santa Fe including Secreto just across the street.

I ordered a cactus coke and this was possibly one of the best (top 3 best) tequila drinks I had on my trip.

Did tears of certainty spark his eyes as he sat under those moody lights, standing firm that yes So Long, See You Tomorrow needs not one or two but three different types of sesame- what did he feel? And my heart aches for that friend but I too would lose my mind if I were to stare into such a void and see whatever it is that stares back. Was this menu the vision of a team- a baffling Frankenweenie invented by committee- or the secret wish of one troubled mind? I see it all so clearly and yet I can't help but doubt my own memory. That many beets on such an expensive cocktail menu? Who salts blueberries? This total disregard for the green chile cult that runs this city like a delicious cabal? Had no drink technician ever walked from front door to car, inhaled the piñon perfumed air outside and thought, I can do something with that. I don't know what happened and I don't think I ever will but I know I did not like it. Also the bartenders were vacant and so confused that human beings wanted to order cocktails in a cocktail bar.

Apparently moles aren't all dark chocolate spicy sauces ... ?!?? Loved the education and samples. I'm typically not a mole fan, but they were fun to try. We had the octopus but to me the sauce was too oily. The actual octopus was tender and delicious. Also had the duck skin tacos which were more of a minced duck meat taco and delish. The 5 stars go for impeccable service and the SOUP. This soup is not to be missed. Nothing on paper makes me think it should work but it totally does. It's a big lump of blue crap topped with creamy poblano pepper soup with whipped cream and amaretto and then topped with a spicy kick. Someone said cinnamon but for me it tasted more like hot red chili powder. Sounds incredibly weird but it was the best dish I've had in forever. Waitress was extremely knowledgeable and the chef was very welcoming and present in his cowboy hat! Space was cozy with amazing art. Perfect date night spot but plan to spend a bit of $$$

Those two visits spanned two years as this is a special-occasions-only restaurant for me and most; it did not leave either of those occasions feeling honored, and the last attempt was likely my last.

I ordered number 2 to pair with my (incredible) FRENCH ONION SOUP If you have that on your menu I have to try it but this was truly exceptional ! Following that I had the New York Strip. Medium rare. GREAT but I did ask for a side of Green Chile. And Garlic Aioli for the potatoes Nicely cooked but I added some salt and chile to make it pop my taste buds. YES. I would order it again the same way The Pork Chop looked great as well Desert was also very good.
