Had recently a haircut in the branch at Putney High street with Claudia. it was my second time and i asked for the hairdresser, as i was satisfied the first time though this time i had a greater hairstyle change. i had shoulder long hairs and wanted a bobby like style, not too short, so i can still pin them up. i had brought some images o point out length, layers etc. well, its all done and i am very surprised that this 'big name hairsalon' allows staff producing such a poor quality. the hairstylist cut the hairs a bit too short in the first place but never mind, the actual shape of the hairstyle was falling nicely into place, some of the hair tips where thinned out to soften the look and to take off the heaviness, and that's the very point when the hairstylist should have stopped cutting! towards the end, when the hairs where blow dried, to complete the finish in an attempt to soften the layers even more she started to thin out the hairs for a second time. but what the hairdresser in fact did with her second round of thinning out the hairs was to actually ruin her own work. she thinned out so heavily, cutting off huge and long chunks of hairs that she actually changed the length of all layers and took out all volume! so changed everything, why did she do that, did she not see this is going to be way too short? eventually i ended up with a short haircut style with some longer streaks of hairs hanging down. that frenzy round of thinning out at the end did not make sense at all. the hairdresser ruined the haircut she just spent over 30 minutes on it? why? the whole volume was gone and the layers no longer link up. It now looks pretty poor, one can tell this is not a good haircut, they just don't fall nicely. the thinning out was way too heavily done. i went back the day after explained and complained about it. I got a complimentary offer for an appointment within the next 3 months. but after another analysing check and close look into the mirror this evening, i have now decided not to take this offer and instead never go back there again. i will wait a few weeks to have some new growth and then go somewhere else to have it fixed properly. i have to say that cutting hairs too short is one thing, that might occasionally happen, no big deal, but cutting hairs totally unprofessional like way too short, off the brief, rogue thinning out, cutting a mess, layers that don't link, taking out all volume is something different all together. this salon is supposed to be a professional place where gross mistakes like that won't happen but as i saw myself, it does. i am sorry to say a good name is no guarantee to get a professional haircut! read more
