We had the pin pie duck for starters, which was just plain good, and after that some very tasteful vegetarian dishes. Beside the food we enjoyed how the hostess welcomed all take away customers, they all got a friendly word and it was clear that she is very much involved in the neighborhood. We can recommend!

I wanted to have something Asian for the evening, and so I look for Yelp, and find this place nearby. I go in, and there's only one other person - from Japan - eating. To be fair, there were few to-go orders in the meanwhile. First, I made it clear that I do not eat chicken and pork. I ask for soup that does NOT have chicken or pork, and for a dish that does not have chicken or pork. I order shrimp soup based on the recommendation, and assurance that this soup does not contain chicken or pork. When the soup comes out, it is clear that this is pork broth, as I can smell the pork. The dumplings, thankfully, were made with shrimp. The soup was so-so at best, as I do not like pork, and had that pork flavor to it. But, given that I've craved some soup for a while, I made efforts to finish. The main - Singapore mifan noodle, or rice noodle - I asked what roast meat (in the menu) was in, and she assured that there is NO meat, and definitely no pork and no chicken. Well, when the food comes out, sure enough, there are pork everywhere. I carefully separated the pork, and ate the noodles. In the meanwhile, I asked for a glass of tap water. After the meal - eaten rather laboriously, since they all contained pork - I get the bill. The soup was 6.50, the noodle was 10, but the mysteriously, the bill was for 19.50. I paid, and as I left, I asked how much was the noodle. She says 10, and soup was 6.50, and the tap water was 2.00. Still, the 1.00 is not accounted for, but what's the point - I wasn't returning to this place again, not after this experience with mediocre food, and worst of all, feeling taken advantage of - I just left. And, made sure to write about the experience in Yelp, lest anyone else, especially if you don't speak Dutch or Chinese, fall into their trap.
